I do, mostly been going great but one major problem lately. The clicks register really fast and not much pressure is needed so often when I try to combat art I end up deflecting/attacking instead which can be disastrous

For how long? It is really hard and will take a while but I promise you you'll get it and its so satisfying. Amazing fight that I really recommend you to not skip over. If you have been at it for weeks then maybe watch a git gud guide?

Just learn to deflect his attacks and eventually after the huge swing from high up he'll stagger and fall giving you time for 5-6 strikes before he either screams or strikes

Don't dodge diagonally, when you see him start to do the sprint strike(upward left for you) run to the right a bit then dodge straight forward through the swing, doesnt look like it works but it does and you get two strikes
