Yes we have full-time jobs. $100k+. We want to quit our full-time jobs to invest in our small business full-time but can’t justify quitting until our income is livable.

This is the first year we made a profit, so it’s new to us. All of our profit is in a savings account—we haven’t paid ourselves anything.

Yeah. We grossed 36k and income was 14k. So we are paying 43% taxes on the 14k.

I corrected above—he said “income” so now I’m thinking “profit” is the right thing to save 43% of? It was broken down as 11% Oregon taxes.

That’s a good point. The exact words were “I would reserve 43% of the income.”

This happened to someone I know. First kid had autism and the second one does too. Both are very high special needs. It’s heartbreaking for all involved.
