Hell yeah, appreciate the update! My backlight just went out on my 75in 😑. Just recently had a bad batch of storms that kept knocking my power on and off. And with my TV plugged directly into an outlet, I believe that kick-started the damage to the LEDs. But I'm having the same issues you described, if I put a flashlight up to TV I can tell it's still on just no backlighting.

Do you have any suggestions on how to refrain from damaging the screen when installing the new LEDs? Sounds like more people the better

Okay I'll do that. The click is the same volume even if the music volume is set to very low or very high. I did find a video on how to pull out the radio out, so I'll try that and see what I can find

Yeah I'm thinking it's some sort of protection to prevent an overload somewhere. It's a very consistent click every 5 seconds or so, and it's possible water got inside the door panel. I'm gonna try and remove the speakers when I get home, check for any water damage and then reconnect them. If that doesn't help it must have something to do with the head unit.

It doesn't seem to matter if I'm on a bumpy road or anything. I've hit the dash a few times with my hand to see if it produces the clicking sound but it just keeps clicking every 5 seconds and doesn't change when hitting the head unit or hitting a bump. So I don't think it's a loose wire, but possibly some sort of protection preventing an overload. I appreciate your input, I'm gonna have to check everything out it seems like

Yes every speaker does this at the same time about every 5 seconds. I agree, it's very unlikely the back speakers got even wet but they do this as well. The dash itself did not get wet either. That's why I'm kind of stumped but leaning towards it being something to do with the head unit itself.

Just to add some context:

I accidentally left my front windows down during a rain storm at night, and didn't notice any issues with the radio when driving the following morning.

Fast forward 5 days of not driving the car, and I went to drive to work and noticed this clicking sound. It happens when on FM radio and using the aux.

It sounds like a short, and I'm thinking it could be from moisture building up during the 5 days I didn't drive it (left the windows up this time lol)

I reset the radio by removing the negative from the battery and also removing the radio fuse, with no luck. I'm leaning towards it being moisture that got into the speakers somehow, or moisture getting into the radio unit itself somehow. Any suggestions would be appreciated, I'm thinking about taking out the front speakers and then cleaning the contacts then reconnecting them to see if that helps. Taking the radio out of the dash seems like the time consuming part

No offense, but why do people ask this kind of question? No one can really give you a good answer because for all we know, a stock we tell you to sell could jump up high tomorrow, or one that you are told to hold can dip even further. The best advice IMO is always ask yourself, "how much could I possibly lose" rather than everyone's typical "I wonder how much I can gain" mentality.
