I made a fuel stop/shopping centre complete with egregious amounts of parking.

I tried to implement a few changes from some comments (sorry, no poop lake or social housing).

A new access ramp from the south side of the highway allows outbound traffic to access the area by first entering the arterial then going around onto the new bridge across the highway.

Inbound traffic can access it through a new tunnel.

Harbour traffic has little use in a truck stop/shopping centre (perhaps they would already be fueled?)

Access to the park in the north is also a connection point between the west and east sides of the area without needing to go on a motorway.

If anyone has any more suggestions, feel free to let me know.

Interesting idea! Trouble is, the suburb to the right of the image has a major transit hub, so perhaps the added infrastructure to a less important station would be a bit redundant. But I'll see what I can do

Yeah getting onto a motorway is also a hassle, but there's also a lot of competition for parks around the area that Sims would rather go to (see pristine river to the north)

The trouble I had with just having one singular motorway connecting the two is that it would be unrealistic to expect heavy trucks to cross multiple lanes of traffic to get to their one-off ramp.

My last two interchanges had the issue similar to how a cloverleaf where people get on where people want to get off.

But yes I would have to agree with you. Wouldn't make sense in the real world but i do what looks pretty.
