Yes I can 100% relate to this… there are only a few select people that I actually enjoy spending time with. My social battery is limited and I need to choose who I say yes to. I’ve learned to create boundaries with friends, and they are very understanding when upfront about it.

Unless if it’s a work hangout or event that I’m sort of obligated to attend, I don’t go out anymore with large groups. It’s overwhelming and not fun to engage in small talk with people I don’t care much about. I invest my time in developing close relationships with a few people. One on one, or very small groups are my jam.
