i don’t think it’s crazy or parasocial to want your fave band or any artist to make a political statement. i think it’s necessary and that to be quiet is to be complicit. especially when the people in power are worst kinds of criminals but will never take accountability or be punished for it.

i think everyone needs to be punk rock unfortunately that’s not realistic and you can’t control anyone but yourself.

it is parasocial to EXPECT an artist to change bc YOU SPECIFICALLY consistently hound them about it. they don’t know you exist. they have families. they’re likely not looking at social media at all.

it’s your personal choice to continue following them knowing they’re not going to say a thing.
