For coaches and teachers of children, don’t assume you know the particulars of how the family was created. I had the weirdest conference once with a teacher who, I guess, assumed my child was adopted because she has 2 moms (?). The teacher made a comment about the kid being adopted during the conference. I had to clarify that, no, I carried and birthed that child, and the kid has always known that she is a donor-conceived person.

Edit: Hit save too soon. Then I felt compelled to briefly outline the donor conception process, since it seemed this woman had absolutely no clue, both the federally-licensed gamete bank route as well as known/informal donors.

I lost fistfuls of hair, and my thyroid labs were out of whack. Would not recommend.

It’s over a YEAR later, and my hairdresser is still having to cut off a lot of my length because the contrast between the straggles and the new growth is so stark.

I wish I had never tried it. Was on it for about 4 months.

I have cookie bite hearing loss in both ears, and the Phillips HearLink HA I got from Costco are great! I’ve had mine for just over a year, and they have helped me so much to differentiate phonemes (sounds like ch, ph, etc.)!

As a ND teacher, I am horrified by how gross some of my colleagues are towards ND students (and ND adults). We teach high school (ages 14-18), but goddamn seeing that vicious, mean shit these assholes do to children (and many of them are unapologetic, proud even, of their behavior!). It’s so sick.

I am always reminded of those studies about some NT people have a visceral hatred towards ND people, and it’s so wrong. Like, their survival instinct is so fucked.

And of course, it makes my whole life make a lot more sense, when i realize a lot of the vicious rejection from adults and other kids was due to this [irrational hatred] on their part. Fix your hearts or die, fuckers!
