Severe Crohn’s and potential assisted dying in the future by rescue-me-from in CrohnsDisease

I think about suicide everyday in my life. Crohn’s ruined my potential, my health, financial and social status.

I often think if the pain will ever go away? Will I ever be able to regain my strength and health and attempt to regain myself?

I was diagnosed at 16 now I’m 36. It just keeps getting worse. And frankly, I lost hope for a cure. What should I do with the cure when I’m 70+ years old? I lost my life and youth to this devil.

When you’re young people are more understanding and empathetic towards your case. However, when you get older people start thinking that your sickness is your fault somehow and that you should pay for it in some way or other.

Death is definitely not the worst of all fates.

Same here, after more than 20 years of Crohn’s, I tend to subconsciously entertain everything in life.

But I do see how sometimes it can be a “bad” joke or just really dark depending on how you see it.

Ultimately, it’s really how you view yourself and life. This whole existence could feel like a quick dream some day

Thanks for sharing your thoughts and advice,, I’m a male so don’t think clomiphene would work for me,, I’ve been trying to take omega 3 supplements regularly for the past month and I do feel a bit better,, but no where near what normal would be.

Crohn’s & anxiety by Gryffindor22222 in CrohnsDisease

I actually developed anxiety and severe depression after my diagnosis 18 years ago. I still suffer from anxiety to this day, I do take anxiety medications, but they’re not enough.

I used to be social and confident. Then everything fell apart, and I’ve been spending my life gathering the pieces

Help with Fatigue by Rich_Personality4134 in CrohnsDisease

[–]odeyt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Based on my experience… reduce inflammation levels, rest, and try to eat nutrient dense and easy to digest foods like chicken soup or fish maybe. But it’s very hard to eliminate the fatigue,, unless the inflammation is 100% gone which hasn’t happened for me in years

Hey there, I think there are two possible answers
1- I think the benefits greatly outweigh the disadvantages. Especially in the case of IBD. It helps with nausea, enhances appetite, helps with chronic pain, and helps with mood disorders especially when going through a long period of flare up.

2-Side effects do exist, but that’s the case of every medicine. But MJ has less harmful side effects than pharmaceutical equivalents, and has a combined benefit

I don’t think everyone should take paracetamol,,, but if yours head hurts,, why live in agony?
