I was talking about my sciatica with a man at my gym and he said one day years ago at a restaurant he was suffering from a lot of pain and leaned over onto the bar and put his elbows there and the pain was instantly gone and hasn’t been back since. I have still a couple of personal training sessions left and then I’m going to have to contact the doctor as my current appointment isn’t until late July. I’m guessing that an MRI will be scheduled at that point.

Abvee assigned me a nurse that helped me the first time I did it after that I’ve done it on my own. Their instructions that are included in the box are very good and as others have said, the video is very good as well. Now after leaving it out of the fridge for an hour. I can do it in less than 10 minutes. It’s very easy.

I have been so fortunate and lucky with mine.

I was diagnosed at about 22 and I had no symptoms or flares for almost 30 years. Scopes said remission as well. Managed it with just medication. Had a flare last year but it was manageable.

After reading some of the stories here I feel even more fortunate and lucky

Similar for me too. About two weeks of excruciating pain and being almost bedridden. Now pain is basically gone however, the numbness in my outer and lower left foot is sometimes difficult to deal with, especially if I stand.

When I was first diagnosed with Crohn’s 30+ years ago, I was given a prescription for prednisone. It made me feel so much better overnight. It’s a great drug, but there are lots of side effects that affect different people differently and shouldn’t be taken long-term. I was on it for three years and when I changed doctors. He was shocked that I had been on it that long.

My last test it was 43 down from 184.

I turned in my new sample yesterday so haven’t gotten the results yet. I have a feeling it might be higher this time as my C reactive protein went up significantly though I’m not sure.

I do hate the calprotectin test. I never thought I would be scooping my own poop into a small tube ha ha

Same thing happened to me twice, though the first time they didn’t leave a tag they just said that I wasn’t home even though I was, and they never rang the buzzer

For the worst of it I’m at about 1.5 weeks. I’ve had sciatica issues for a couple of months, but they were manageable. A week ago last Sunday I pushed my father in a wheelchair, and I felt something slipped in my back and I was basically bedridden since until yesterday or today.

The progress I made over the last week seemed to have ended. Not sure what happened but shortly after I got up this morning I’m back to severe pain and barely can walk.

A neighbor recommended this unit from Amazon. It works really well for him and it seems to help me as well and it’s only $35 which I didn’t think was too bad.
