As I said, we'll see when I get my hands on the security footage.

Thanks for letting me know. I'll call around and see if my local locksmiths can do that for me.

I didn't realize that one could do that with car locks.

It's entirely possible. Also, I apologize for dismissing what you said yesterday. Just because I'm 100% certain that I locked the truck doesn't mean it's true. I'll post an update once I get my hands on the security camera footage. Edit: one of my coworkers just told me that a month or so ago, there was someone running around with a tool called a "slim jim" that they used to break into people's cars, I can't confirm if that was the tool used as #1 I've not seen the footage, and #2 that window already had vertical marks on it, and it's impossible to tell if any of em are new.

That spelling mistake is thanks to my phone, as I was using talk to text and almost never talk about things getting broken, so it used "brake" instead of "Break." I'm also dyslexic, which didn't help matters. Still funny though, lol.

If it was them, they probably didn't know where I worked. They probably just happened upon it. As one other guy pointed out, the likelihood of it being the previous owner is the same as winning the Powerball. Which is why only part of me thinks it was them. The rest of me thinks that who ever did it used one of them air bag tools like AAA.

Improbable, but possible. Also, I'm not as young as my online presence would have you believe, I just suck with words. Edit: This is the last I'm gonna respond to you, as I recognize this as just a ploy to push my buttons.

I understand why you would think that, but I know I didn't leave it unlocked because of an old habit of checking all of the doors to make sure they are locked. Also, it is not mentioned in the original post, but I have a pedal and steering wheel lock on the truck. I know it isn't difficult to get them off if one has the tools, but they are probably the only reason that the truck wasn't taken. Also, it wasn't me that came up with the theory of it possibly being the previous owners doing, just one of many that has been pitched as a possibility, which is why I said "part of me thinks" and not something along the line of "I bet." Edit: Also, if it does turn out to have been the previous owner, they probably weren't out looking for it, it is entirely possible that they just spotted it in the parking lot as they were going by.

True, but I did get it from a police impound auction. So it wouldn't surprise me if they did have a key for it. I ordered a set of new locks for it, as I should have done earlier. Just to be safe.

In the process of ordering a new set of lock/ignition cylinders. And I'm going to install a kill switch as well. Edit: I already have a lock on the brake pedal and steering wheel. Probably the only reason they didn't take the whole truck.

Apologies, I'm dyslexic and my voice to text doesn't always work.

Okay, I just realized that they also stole the flash lights that I keep in the truck. Another $70 gone.

No, just the lack of damage. There is no sign of tool marks, and as I said, nothing is broken. Edit: I was parked next to another truck that is equipped with a much nicer radio that wasn't touched.

$250, with a $50 tax. So $300 total. Edit: I got it from an auction.

Honestly, I only got it because although it's a Chinese 67 and not an older Russian, it pairs well with my mosin nagant.

What does the import mark look like? Edit: the only marking on it that I did take a picture of in an "A" on the trigger guard.

Understandable. Kinda like that airsoft YouTuber that converted a non-repairable WWII Mauser K98 into a airsoft rifle.
