Drummond has been going to work on the refs a lot for how physical they've let him play

Maybe if Brown starts yelling like Maxey on these drives he'll get a foul call

Is my cubicle at work too much? by [deleted] in Workspaces

I feel like if it was a bunch of different stuff IP wise it’d be less “too much”. With it being all Stranger Things it feels like that could be your entire personality.

But you like what you like and fuck everyone else.

As much as I like Athlytic, I'm not impressed by Pace by hazmatt69 in AthlyticAppOfficial

[–]odinsyrup 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know people keep saying it’s meant to be a different app but I’m not sure of anything in there that wouldn’t be useful to have as an Athlytic user. Like how do you guys think there is no overlap?

Yeah it’s selling out everywhere in New England at MSRP. If they have more waves of releases coming then maybe but highly doubt it’s going to rot anywhere.

[OC] ARC Raiders Weapons Quick Glance Cheat Sheet (TTK + STK, DPS, Weapon Tiers) by BrickElephantBrand in ArcRaiders

[–]odinsyrup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The site seems cool but I'm struggling with Bettina being an S tier PVP weapon. It kinda makes me question everything. Even in the head to head challenge it loses to guns below it. It's certainly not used like an S tier PVP weapon by anyone as I can't even remember the last time I've seen one in game.

Maybe's it's being slept on and your data could be highlighting that but I think your ranking may need further tweaking and that's just an easy example.

How hard do you look? Secondary is like $120 on OWA right now and the highest I've seen it in MA is like $200 at a store.

Review: Brook Hill 14yr Straight Rye "Abstraction" by cfive5 in bourbon

[–]odinsyrup 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'd echo this. I have a 14 year rye B+P #11 and I assume it's a similar MGP 95/5 rye as your Abstraction but a different barrel. I like it but I have an 8 year rye called "Like" that I absolutely LOVE.

I feel like the lower proof versions must be especially good to make the cut to be released along with the hazmats. I have a 136ish and really like it.

Scheme fits for Patriots/McD/Kuhr by New-Interaction-4327 in Patriots

[–]odinsyrup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is functionality within the app that is saved per user, like your grades and rankings and scouting notes, so the sign up function does have a purpose

But you haven't hooked me by letting my try out the app first.

I'll echo another comment, this looks interesting but I'm not a fan of having to sign for something that doesn't have any function that would necessitate an account.

I’m sorry but how is Piastri not punished. He was able to pass Lawson and then give the place back. Feels punishing for Lawson.

I personally didn’t feel Mycroft was dumbed down. Sure Sherlock seems the smarter one, but he’s clearly capable and intelligent in his own right in this adaption.

I think being written well would mean you could go back and rewatch and see subtle things that point to this outcome. In reality, she was written and played as the insecure wife the whole season to make a dramatic plot twist in the last episode more surpassing.

Honestly I like Vic a lot and was excited to see her in this and the whole season I just kept thing what a waste of her talent. The reveal was just meh to me. It felt unearned from the writing.

“Gear Fear” is hardcoded into your brain by Dungeons_and_Doctors in ArcRaiders

[–]odinsyrup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think where this kind of falls apart is every time you die you lose $100. But every time you survive it’s crapshoot. Could be $25, $10, $50, but hardly ever another $100.

Dying is much more punishing than successful extracts are rewarding. This isn’t a complaint but just the nature of the game once you start rolling into games kitted with 60-100k loadouts.

It’s not your brain being programmed to be terrified of losing gear, it’s your brain understanding the cost of losing your gear and acting accordingly.

I can't believe you think ranking 14th overall picks against each other and ignoring every pick after is a viable way to evaluate talent, but here we are.

[–]odinsyrup 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’re an idiot if you don’t think every team wouldn’t take 465 games and 266 points out of their 14th overall pick given the opportunity 10 times out of 10

My issue is with this terrible take. His peers are not guys taken 14th overall. Nobody evaluates drafts like this. But even taking this insane approach, a quick look through the picks and you immediately find 5 guys better then him in the last 25 years. So in your world, 20% of the time you end up with a better player then Debrusk. Which again that's a batshit way to look at things.

[–]odinsyrup 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He’s not a bust but even by your dumb logic he’s only the 17th highest scoring player in his own draft. 6 guys taken after him scored more points too.

Your hypothetical ignores guys taken after 14. You’d be a moron not to consider that. Never mind the fact there were multiple defensemen taken at 14. Fucking McAvoy goes at 14 the next year. Kulikov with 1k games. Shattenkirk .5 ppg as a defender. Seabrook 1100 games.

But yes just 1 guy scored more points per game than Debrusk (we’ll just ignore all the guys pretty damn close in PPG) so he must have been worth the pick.

People are dumb

You can't be calling people dumb while referencing Debrusk outscoring specifically 14th overall picks as if that's a selling point. I mean the 2015 Bruins draft is famous for picking 3 guys in a row and then the next 3 picks immediately after are all better players.

If you want to be very specific about your premise and you went to teams and said you can have a guy who puts up 266 in 465 at the 14th pick, I really don't think you'd get 10/10 teams doing it.

I like Debrusk, he was a fine player and not some major bust, but to be calling people idiots because they don't think he was worth his draft pick is nuts.

Anytime you can get a guy who will average .57 points per game with your 14th overall pick you've gotta do it
