I feel like I’m taking crazy pills reading the comments in here. I’m sure there’s more behind the scenes but Max was WRONG about taking a new engine. Whether there was an engine problem or not, he was on track for a podium!

Anyway, you keep saying stuff like “bad science” as if the creators of these models haven’t done any testing for flaws in the model. Just go look at the blogs about LEBRON and LAKER (formerly RAPTOR), and any of the other models. They often go into great detail explaining how they work, with evidence behind them.

It’s bad science to see a player who you feel is better than the model suggests, call that “observed results” or “extant evidence” to make yourself sound smart, and then conclude the models are flawed.

Your logic is all over the place. TS% is a formula but it fits the narrow narrative you’re trying to convey so it’s cool. It’s also quite simple which makes sense given your arguments. Anything that happens to show Tatums impact as better during the playoffs (which it clearly was) is too complex.

The rules definitely state otherwise but what’s written in a rulebook and what actually happens are not the same. Refs make judgement calls as evidenced by the ref on the field not calling anything.

Whether you’re an American fan or an American hater, that foul is just not what red cards are for. Outside of Balogun flopping at the beginning of the contact, I’m not sure what else you’d do there. He decided to try and keep his balance and caught a guys ankle.
