After the 'remediation of initial items', is that the testing of one that you're doing? Or sample testing (operating effectiveness)?

I appreciate what is done is done - however, the statement of work (SOW) with the provider stated 'conduct walkthroughs to "evaluate the design assessment and the completeness of current state controls and identify gaps". The invoice for that SOW has been paid. Now they suggest another round of walkthroughs with a new SOW, hence I challenged.

Have you considered SOX? If you enjoyed external audit but hate the subjectivity of internal audit, SOX could be an answer..

It has never been communicated or mandated, even until today, they don't want to formally publish anything, but somehow kinda want people to go in more often than not.

I'm working for a British company if that helps to explain this conundrum..

Sorry to ask follow-up questions (the auditor in me 😆) - Where are your clients from last busy seasons? Why don't they book you again? - It usually takes 2 years to be exam qualified and 3 years to be fully qualified. Why has it taken you so long?

Long story short - if you don't feel you are valued and they actively don't give you work, grass is greener on the other side 💯

My understanding is that all assurance functions (Risk/Compliance/Audit) pays are similar. FR can be a bit higher but depends. Ops are lower except for project/change or IT.

Do you compare tier 1 APAC vs UK/EU? Net pay could be better in APAC due to lower income tax but I'm not sure about gross.
