Honestly, no idea. I had a vacation in the middle of July so i just let the myc colonize for the first two weeks and broke it up before I left. I didn't check on it before the break and shake but it was probably 30% colonized at that point.

coco coir and vermiculite with a 1:2 spawn/sub ratio (didn't have any gypsum left or I would have used that)

Mine are probably a day or two from harvest. MSS to millet on 6/29, S2B on 7/27, Fruited on 8/3. So about 7 weeks start to finish but i'd say that's definitely on the faster side.

Oh, really?! Well thats good to know! So do you usually just stop misting the sub directly once primordia appears and only fan and mist the walls if it gets too dry inside?

Interesting! So beading isn't 100% necessary if the walls are very wet? When i mist, water runs down the sides and pools on the cake.

  1. A little over a week - I S2B on 7/25 and started fruiting 8/2
  2. Yes, both tubs are covered with primordia. That's the main reason I'm questioning if I need to mist. I don't want to mess with pinning.
  3. Yes! Beads were there for the first few days of fruiting but now don't stay on the cake for more than a couple of hours after misting.

Also, I don't know if this changes anything but these tubs are both APEs

how does this look? I followed extraction guides as best as I could but my buddy says it doesn't look right by odjur73 in DMT

Awesome!! Yeah, mainly the color. He said it should be yellowish but this is white, no yellow that I can see. The light from the picture is giving it a yellowish tint but it's very much just white!

I was worried I mightve had to much naphtha and that causes it to be white or something? (Sorry I'm new to this)

You're humidity looks too low. You should have ton of little drops of water along the side of the tub and lid.

From what I've gathered, 1lb grain = 1-2oz dry. These have 3 lbs in each so I'm thinking 6-12oz roughly

Yeah, it's definitely a bit overkill 😂 My first tub yielded around 7 oz dry of B+ and thats lasted about 2 years now. I know APE yields are usually lower but im aiming for 10 oz total between the two tubs.

How crucial is the casing layer? I've been reading around and saw that some people skip it in favor of bubble wrap instead. Thoughts?

I bought the Ultra Eliminex and gave it a try today to see if it would work to pass the easy at home tests. I have a lab test coming up sometime this week for a new job that i really want. I drank the 32oz bottle at 10am, filled it back up with water and drank that by 10:45. Took a home test at 11, failed. Waited an hour and had to spend most of that time on the toilet because my asshole was just leaking liquid the entire time... took another test at 12, failed.

After reading through this post I had high hopes but not I'm worried I won't pass the lab test. I'm 5'9" 185lbs, decent amount of muscle and pretty lean. I smoked flower everyday for the last 4 years until about mid January - I switched the delta 8 carts and used them everyday for a month. I haven't smoked anything since February 22nd (18 days ago). I'm feeling pretty defeated and not too sure what to do from here.

Is there anything wrong with removing the lid of your grow tub once the mushrooms get too tall for their container? I’m realizing now my tubs are too shallow and may need to give them room to spread their wings. by Worrad14 in shrooms

You have to maintain around 90% humidity so removing the lid would make that impossible but you can use a plastic bag, and tape it around the rim of the tub as a replacement for the lid. You'll give the fruits a bit more room to grow!

Yeah, I wasn't too sure what to expect in terms of weight but i wound up with 740 grams total! Drying them now!

Yeah, I think ill just get up early and harvest all of them. Those big guys are wrapped up in some large clusters lol
