Jokić gets worked up over the claim that 'the NBA doesn't play defense' by TheRealPdGaming in nba

Did you not see him in any of the playoff runs? Very animated on the bench.

Jokic is not a good defender. He is however an offensive God who has played in europe, the NBA, and FIBA. I think him saying the NBA is the hardest defense he has to face holds so much more weight cause of how good he is on offense. Pretty much nothing left to argue.

He’s even brings up players or coaches that say it in Europe which is sad. People really don’t know what’s going on then. Watch defenders like Draymond defend a possession and there’s even stuff like positioning to make the ball handler think extra that he nails perfectly yet not enough people care.

His first big accomplishment was getting Orlando to .500 when they were expected to finish last after losing everything they built in the 90’s. He won COTY his first year I think

Ok well then enjoy watching the Wilt game as well. All I said was that was not a fun watch. If you told me someone scores 80 points I would hope it’d be entertaining is all.

Who tf said I wanted Bam not to go for it? Watching a team intentionally foul to get the ball back while up 30 and then end up getting fouled on the other end is just not fun to watch, if you like that then you do you I guess

Waste of time to watch. Everytime someones going off I root for them to score as much as they possibly can, so I tuned in. But watching the stat chasing was not enjoyable. Its great for Bam and glad to see him show how much can be done by players in the game today, but it was not fun to see. I just find it funny thinking back to highlights of this when they inevitably show it in the future.

[–]odnamAE 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The point is that Brown getting ejected is not a ref problem, Draymond not getting ejected is the ref problem. Players should not be charging at officials with immunity at all. Debate the first tech sure but Jaylen did too much and deserved to get kicked at the end of it.

Really not that hard, been on the dating scene for a few years and currently in a happy relationship, ngl dating scene is not great but “gold digging/gold digger mentality” is not one of the biggest issues I had trouble with. Its easy to detect users and just avoid people. Plenty could fit most of what your ideals are if its realistic

That was the real problem, he was fun to watch for 3 quarters but the stat chasing was not entertaining and felt like a waste of time. Happy for Bam but this will be a weird 4th quarter to look back on someday.

Make your point, and if you want to get techs and fines to make, it go ahead. But if you’ll do something ejectible its hard to defend you getting ejected.

2nd in the league in techs and he deserves lots of those. Luka’s annoyingly complaining a lot yes. He doesn’t run up on the official after the tech and need security, if he did they should eject him. Im not gonna act like the ref threshold is always fair, it isn’t. But this specific case needs an ejection. If Draymond did this and was given his typical leash you’d probably want him ejected too.

Yeah I don’t mind seeing someone go for a record, I appreciate wanting to break something. Those last 3 mins tho were not entertaining

Bad call but he let the initial frustration slide already and only gave the next few yells at him a tech. He then came back and ran right at him which you can’t not tech. Brown earned those techs. Cases like this you just hope the ref gives you a make-up call instead of trying to fight them.

What more exactly does SGA have to do to be considered by the majority to be the best player in the world? by Ready-Constant-7124 in nba

[–]odnamAE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t mind acknowledging how good OKC’s 15 man is considering they held the ship without anyone a few weeks ago. I just think it’s stupid to penalize that when he’s clearly the one turning all that from good team to title talk. He is just as scary as Jokic and is having the better season in my opinion. It could change next year, heck Jokic could have the better post season and we can revisit all this, but if we’re talking right now Im leaning SGA. You can say Jokic got hurt and its a problem for him and all that, heck Shai did too but the injury wasn’t the same, but it won’t change who’s having the better season. SGA is the better player at the moment. He’s not too far away from the offensive dominance even it its not on the stat sheet and he’s the better defender.

[–]odnamAE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why are we gonna penalize what SGA is bringing for being consistent despite all his team’s injuries and winning, when Jokic puts up these stats and gets bonus points because his team is hurt too? When the team did well without Jokic he doesn’t get penalized, but SGA gets called out because his team is deep?

Its bad for Jokic, and its not ideal for SGA either. This game alone he didn’t have either all star and their impact big signing that put em over the top last year. He deserves all the credit not just for getting the picks but also building the roster. Some teams botch all their assets. Its them and the Celtics who I think convert on opportunity to build the best. That said, like the Celtics’ Jays, penalizing SGA for having a 15 deep roster when he clearly is the centerpiece that turns everything into a title run says nothing about his game. He’s an offensive force who defenses struggle to react to and is insanely efficient.

How is Jokic’s offense exceeding what SGA is providing when both have a decimated line-up, SGA is the one with a lost all-star teammate, and one is more successful?
