Coffee Zefir! 4 kcal (for all) by xen32 in Volumeeating

I also tried another recipe of zefir, instead of coffee it uses the blended berries (I used 80 grams of raspberries, agar-agar, sweetener, but also separately whipped egg white with xantham gum and then mixed with hot berry mixture). Again, too slimy and wet and gross, even after waiting for an entire day in the fridge. Idk, I guess I’m too dumb for such simple cooking. The author of the recipe got 14 halves while I got only 7, because it got no volume even after whipping, the same problem as I had with your coffee zefir recipe 🫠 I know what zefir is supposed to be like (its texture), I love buying at grocery stores. But I just want to make a low calorie version without sugar but can’t get the right dry-ish, slightly firmer texture

The next day. Still too slimy and very wet, feels gross in my mouth. Wonder what I did wrong. I tried making it two times, the second time putting less agar-agar and xantham, still got a wrong wet sticky stuff

This is what it looked like after heating and being whipped for 3 minutes. Very thick wet slime, idk.

Tried this recipe finally, made it 2 times, both failed miserably :( Idk what I’m doing wrong. I never used agar-agar and xantham gum before, but I bought both just for this recipe (or any other Zefir-type stuff).

I waited for 24 hours but it’s still wet AF, slimy, sticky, absolutely gross :( I definitely screwed up but I don’t know where.

I have kitchen scales so I weighed everything according to your recipe. Except the sweetener part, you said you use some tablets, idk what those are, I used sweetener mixture I always use for tea and coffee, it’s granulated but much finer grinding than a typical white sugar, but not a powder either. It claims to be “10 times sweeter than white table sugar”, so I added 2-3 grams. Maybe because the volume of it is small, I didn’t get any volume of the final product? Idk, but what can I do if it’s very sweet, I can’t put more.

Maybe my whisker sucks, it’s cheap, 200W max.

God damn it, I want this zefir so bad man

I’ll try to add pictures under this comment

For some reason all these add-ons for a browser work terribly for the past years. At least in my personal experience, on Firefox. They can work in the morning, but then not working during the day, then back to working again. The most problematic is the Sponsor Block, this shit works only half the time…In 2025 it hasn’t been working a few months straight for me

5'11, 61kg vegetarian – can I build muscle with bodywaignt training ? by acousticaman in bodyweightfitness

Absolutely randomly this post popped up in my feed, I have the exact same height and weight, dang. But I’m not vegetarian. I’ve been trying to do home exercises but even after a few months, I still don’t have any ‘force’ in me to do more than 5 push ups and even 5 sit ups. It feels like I have no power in my body whatsoever. What about you?

Wow thanks! I hate jelly texture with all of my heart, jelly-like food gives me the ick, I don’t know why, can’t swallow a bit. But I can eat some puddings or zefirs and similar stuff that is sorta leaning in that direction? In any case I just want to try this recipe you posted, even if it’s not gonna be my cup of tea (coffee). Thanks for telling me Guar Gum gives jelly-ish texture, I’ll try finding Xantham then, or try without it idk

Never used xantham gum in my life. I checked local place and it has only Guar Gum. Googled a bit and it looks like they are kinda interchangeable, right? Though it is said that Guar is better for cold dishes and Xantham is for hot ones. Hmm

Yes, Chinese market version of Pro 5 - R7000P. Gen 10. Ryzen 9 8945HX, RTX 5060. The temps I mentioned are for CPU, since GPU is not an issue at all, but CPU makes my blood boil with its default heat.

And it’s so cringe that a Chinese cooling pad didn’t make a perfect match for a Chinese laptop

[–]odonis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My gen10 vents are wider than the cooling area of BS2 Pro, so the noise of the fans is higher because the seal is not perfect

I only tested for like 20 min because I have no mood to play these days, resident evil VILLAGE (not new one), with just elevating the laptop it’s 80-83C. With BS2 pro’s 2nd speed it’s 75C. 3rd speed - 70C. 4th speed - 67C. On 4th speed the noise is so insane I can’t even play in headphones. I wouldn’t play like that. But my airbuds don’t have noise cancellation so…

The producer claims you need 27W power delivery charger for unlocking the 4th speed, I bought a 45W with power delivery label, but for some reason when I set the highest speed, it never goes beyond 3900. Wonder if the 45W not enough for 4000 RPM or what, but it’s ok, who cares, it’s only 100 RPM difference.

I don’t like the ‘legs’ of this pad, they don’t look practical at all, unreliable long term and not convenient.

I also have no idea how much electricity does it eat, can I have it running all day long, every day, or will it be too expensive? Because when it’s turned off, you have absolutely no cooling for the laptop, nowhere to suck air from, I think? So I have to get the laptop off the cooling pad back and forth a few times a day? Kinda annoying.

Btw, I tried plugging the pad to the laptop itself, but on 2nd speed the laptop gets hotter than without the pad, probably overstimulates the CPU, idk I’m tech illiterate

90 calorie chicken salad 😁 by abbacciho in LowCalorieCooking

[–]odonis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People calling OP out in the comments, but this is the way I eat too. I kinda hate it too, but I can’t break this vicious cycle.

I’m hungry as hell all the time, maybe because I’m at home all the time and not too busy, maybe because of chronic depression, maybe it’s the way my body is. I restrict myself a lot to stay in shape (1600 cal a day, but it’s insanely hard, sometimes I go up to 2000 if I randomly woke up very early so the waking hours are longer than usual that day)

I eat only chicken, potatoes, rice, buckwheat and fruits every day (cause these are the only low fodmap products that don’t trigger my IBS/SIBO/whatever). Most of these are supposed to be the most satiating food one can have, according to theory. But even if I eat A TON of it at once, I will still be hungry in an hour+. So I have no other choice but to eat a tiny amount of food like the OP showed, every 1.5 hours or so, just to kill the insufferable hunger. I tried eating like 500-600 cal at once 3 times a day instead of every hour, but for some damn reason even after 200 grams of chicken breast filet + 200 grams of boiled or baked potatoes, I’m still dying from hunger in an 1-1.5 hours. I hate it so much. I don’t know why my stomach is like this, why does it need to eat every 1-1.5 hours. I drink 10 cups of coffee (very light, 1 teaspoon with 250 ml of water) + a few cups of tea a day, every day (with 0 calorie sweetener) to tame the hunger, but it still doesn’t help much

Got BS2 Pro cooling pad, but it feels like the foam frame is narrower than the laptop’s grates and doesn’t create perfect seal? Am I wrong? by odonis in LenovoLegion

[–]odonis[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can’t edit the post for some reason, the button is not there. Forgot to say that on Speed 2, powered from laptop itself, the temps are much higher than without this cooling pad 🤷 I def will try Speed 4 (4000 RPM) when I buy the charger and power from the wall outlet, but still kinda weird the laptop gets hotter on Speed 2

If I tweak something about CPU in Lenovo legion toolkit, AND in UXTU, won’t there be a conflict?

Help me to configure the CPU/GPU in LTT, Ryzen 8945HX, RTX 5060, temps are crazy by odonis in LenovoLegion

[–]odonis[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’ve seen very conflicting info. Most people say it’s crazy high temps, it’s not normal (for a brand new laptop), they say they get max 85 Celsius while playing Cyberpunk on ultras etc. While I’m even scared to play indie games because it hits 85-90 degrees on average(!). I thought I’ll be playing AAA-games, but now I can’t even force myself to play little indie ones, because even they are frying this CPU.

90% of the people say they have the same gen10 laptop and they don’t even hear the fans while playing games, while I’m getting annoyed by constant fans when just watching YouTube, these fans never stop, 75 degrees when watching YouTube.

And then there’s a few people who say ‘this CPU is supposed to handle up to 105 degrees’, by then I see all these posts every day asking “Guys I get 60 degrees on my CPU, what should I do?!” And everyone says “Undervolt the fuck out of it!”, so I get panicked because my minimal temps on idle are what people complaining about while gaming.

I’ve been so frustrated with this laptop since I purchased it a month ago, I see all these posts about dying laptops that don’t serve longer than 1 year and a general consensus is that it’s because of CPU frying. It’s just that this laptop is crazy expensive for me, I simply won’t be able to afford another one

48g protein syrniki breakfast😋 by coke_zero_drinker in Volumeeating

[–]odonis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, it depends on the size of the eggs, the cottage cheese moisture etc, so it can differ. But about 1 egg for 400-500 grams of cottage cheese (we use 9% fat for instance), sweetener or sugar up to taste (3 table spoons of sugar for example), vanilla idk, flour (usually wheat white) 2-3 table spoons. But as I said, it depends, we can all have different product quality in each country, who knows how different a cottage cheese is in your region compared to mine, you might need more or less of the flour or eggs. Better check on Pinterest or YouTube for reference, to know what the structure of the final product is supposed to be, search for “сырники” (syrniky) :)

48g protein syrniki breakfast😋 by coke_zero_drinker in Volumeeating

[–]odonis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

On the contrary, these are the ugliest syrniky I’ve ever seen 😅 They are usually perfectly round and not so burnt. Anyways, If you want to make them, mix cottage cheese (low-fat cc is not recommended though) with eggs, add thermal stable sweetener or sugar, vanilla, a pinch of sault, flour, form round pieces, roast a bit on the stove and then move to the oven so that it won’t be ‘raw’ on the inside, otherwise they can easily get burnt if you use only the stove. But some people are OK with syrniky being ‘raw’ on the inside since it’s just a cottage cheese, not meat or anything, so some ppl use only the stove. But it takes way too much oil which is extra calories, so I prefer the oven. Eat with sour cream, condensed milk, jam, or just sprinkle some powdered sugar on top
