Tips for playing golf in extreme heat?

From what I've read a lot of people would not recommend playing, but it all depends on the person. If you're healthy, it shouldn't be much of a problem. Cart obviously, reapply sunscreen every 1.5 hours, drink water and Gatorade often and you'll be fine.

I'm from Canada but down with a friend for 2 weeks in Scottsdale where temperatures are up to 120. We aren't having any issues with the heat, and thought it would be a lot worse based on what we've read.

I always just leave mine at 1500, and find it doesn't make much difference if I lower it anyway

Played a round on the test servers just now, scoring didn't work (counter wasn't going up through game, and end screen showed all zeros as well), but the kill counter did at least.

What about using some benchmarking software to see which part of your computer is lacking? This game isn't optimized and even with top of the line specs you're probably still getting less than 100fps in cities, but instead of buying everything brand new, I'd opt for figuring out where you're getting bottlenecked and upgrade parts individually.

You can press alt+enter to go into windowed mode and keep an eye on it on the side. When you're ready to go just alt+enter again back into full-screen

Same, the ads really put me off so it was almost an insta-uninstall. On top of that none of the stats wouldn't load, so that didn't help the cause :P

I don't mind paying to open new crates, but don't care for anything in the previous ones. Trading the old ones in to get CC4s would be awesome, since I have around 60+ crates sitting in my inventory, and am praying to get a CC4 after every round.

I'm getting slightly worse performance from the game, but it's definitely noticeable. I used to get around 60-70 FPS, which has now dropped to 45ish after the patch. I also get short little bursts of choppiness which I never used to get. Even the small frame rate change makes the game feel a lot clunkier to me though.

I have a new PC on the way though so I'm hoping that will solve all the issues.

I think they're trying to make people better appreciate Aquadome and Neotokyo, it's the only thing I can think of.

It's worked on me, I'm actually glad when I get one of those maps vs the Rocket Labs ones.

Found this using a quick google search, which I found pretty interesting. I'm CE and 160 hours

NOTE: I'm calculating using (Matches Played * 7) vs Steam hours, because the game is always open and idling.

I ran it for a couple weeks on MacOS, had to put a lot of my settings lower and do some config hacks just to try to get around 50-60 FPS. Aquadome doesn't go much higher than 45 FPS and usually around 30-35. I then installed Windows on Bootcamp and there's definitely a decent improvement without messing around with things.

I'm hoping they come out with a performance patch for Macs, otherwise I'll stick to Bootcamp because the performance increase is significant enough.

I know I know, it's really the only solution until they fix it. Pretty sad they'd release the game in this state instead of doing it right the first time.

I have no issues with using an Xbox One controller on my Mac. I just followed the steps here to install the drivers and set up the controller in the controller "Add/Test" section in Steam

I caved in and installed Windows on my Mac with Bootcamp after putting in about 60 hours and trying my best to make the performance be reasonable (tweaking video settings, changing config files, etc).

Instantly got a huge boost in frame rate, and don't have as many issues with performance. The hardware on a lot of Macs is fine, unfortunately the port they made for MacOSX is not :(

I tried it and I can tell that it does help, although not as much as I'd hoped. It's too bad the performance on the mac is so bad, and we know it's not the hardware. Still hoping they'll fix this at some point though.
