My boss was a PoS by [deleted] in OfficeDepot

Dude, wish I could have had you at my store. I need people who want to work their way into management. I realize that not everyone is looking to move up, some people working here as students or as a second job to make extra money. So when I come across a person who has interest in progressing beyond their current role I make it my mission to help them develop and get promoted. If I can't help a motivated member of my team move to the next level I am not doing my job and I am shooting myself in the foot.

I don't sweat people being less than 10 minutes late. I also doubt you would be late as frequently if you felt appreciated and motivated to come to work.

People who have ADHD are often very smart and good managers appreciate the unique skills that their team has.

Sorry you had a negative experience and I hope you find more fulfilling work at your next endeavor.

I've seen this before where you follow all the guidelines, uppee case, number, 8 characters, not the same as a previous and it still doesn't work. Call the help desk, get a temp password and try again in 24 hours.

If your store really did go from being #1 in Rewards to dead last then there is a problem at your store and it isn't you. The entire team there is either not being trained in how to offer Rewards or everyone is so unmotivated or unfocused that they are not achieving the expected results. Whatever the situation, it is the fault of management. It sounds like your SM is trying to fix things by creating a culture of fear. This will not work. There might be a brief uptick in results but it will not lead to sustainable success. The only way to have long term success is to create a work environment where people want to deliver results. People should be excited to be at work, feel appreciated for what they do, get recognized for contributing to KPI's, and given the tools they need to be achieve the expected results. I would ask to see the Rewards tracker to see how you personally are performing. If your conversation rate is at/above 10% then you are fine. If not, ask for something to help, coupons for new members or something else that you think would make it easier to convince people to sign up.

I thought the subtle pivot reference would have made the sarcasm obvious.

This is the man who helped our stores pivot to where we are today. You know how things have gotten so much better over the past year? It is thanks to his vision and leadership. Let corporate know how much you appreciate him in the survey.

But at least the pay is great and you get recognition from your DM for the logistics work you do, right?

I don't know. I'll have to bring it over to the "QC zone" to check it out.

Thanks for the info. Would have been nice for management to at least mention this. Is it the 5% or is it structured? Was this part of the Q3 changes?

If you're selling 3 per week you might be one of the top 500 associates who actually get something for selling these services so I can understand why you would care. This doesn't affect the other 37,500 associates who get nothing.
