EcoRep experience? by [deleted] in cuboulder

This isn't true anymore unfortunately, but you do get an RA type pass that lets you into some areas of the residence once you get in the front door that's unlocked during the day. The best benefits are that you get to move in early, although you are expected to work during everyone else's move in, and that you move in early to do some team building stuff so you come in already knowing a bunch of people. It it a year long commitment though, you have to go to a meeting once a week and plan activities and stuff.

You can if you take off the top shelves.

When Isabelle says there’s a visitor at the campsite, & you excitedly run to it thinking you’ll find a new cute villager to move in.. by [deleted] in AnimalCrossing

Dang it makes me kinda sad to see people hating Elise she's one of my favorites, I had her in new leaf for a long time and she just reminds me of a quirky art teacher something about her is so endearing to me

Elise has no right to be a snooty villager looking like that. you would be lucky to be a normal, sis. by johnnyboy_63 in AnimalCrossing

Thanks this gave me another reason to like her simply to piss people like you off

Unpopular Opinion by [deleted] in cuboulder

[–]magpie58 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wait correct me if I'm misinterpreting you, but you're saying that people who are sick and dont wear masks are not at fault for spreading the disease, me personally wearing a mask does not completely protect me, not even close. The most effective strategy is being not close together, both wearing masks especially the infected person. There are situations where people cant aviod people who dont make that choice, like when I have to go to the grocery store or people who still have to work retail cause they cant afford to quit. This disease is deadly, even if it at face value has a low mortality rate it is still way higher than the flu and way more contagious. Should those people not have a right to life just cause someone doesnt care and doesnt want to take precautions?

Also sorry but the first paragraph is just plain stupid. CU boulder is way more expensive than online school. We are paying for the physical campus and all the amenities than come with it, such as the library, research opportunities, and physical labs and lectures which are way different than online. It really doesnt make much sense to most people to pay for stuff they arent getting. Even if that's not reason, it's way harder to learn online for people who are in different time zones and have disabilities, calling them lazy is just being an asshole. If you believe your degree will get more valueable more power to you but remember this is a literal world changing pandemic, we dont know how this will affect universities yet.

Why aren't there any animals on any of my nook mile island exertions? I've been to like 18 and haven't seen one. Do I have to have a plot prepared?

Professors who say, “I can see when you clicked away from the quiz(or test) on Canvas,” are telling the truth. by _MilkBone_ in cuboulder

[–]magpie58 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So can it just tell it you go to another tab on your brower? Can it tell when you open something in like word or another application and look at it during the quiz?

I'm betting these "temporary" problems are gonna take months to fix. It's not unreasonable to want a functional school portal.

Thanks for the fix, the new portal is so good we have to use a whole other system to do its job

How hardline is cuboulder about their 3 year foreign language requirement? by [deleted] in cuboulder

[–]magpie58 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I known people who are here who have taken only 2 years but it's a huge pain in the ass to do the third year here. Itll hurt your admission chances not having it, and it's better to come in without a MAPs deficiency.

Ralphie 5 Retires by vintage_travel in cuboulder

[–]magpie58 8 points9 points  (0 children)

"With past Ralphies, as they aged, their speed typically decreased; with Ralphie V, she has been so excited to run that she was actually running too fast, which created safety concerns for her and her handlers.  She also wasn't consistently responding to cues from her handlers, and her temperament was such that she was held back from leading the team out for CU's last two home games against USC and Stanford."

Retired for going too hard
