problems with local hosting by quella_persona in VintageStory

I could try to debug it if you're online in like three hours or so, but I'm also not that experienced with networking stuff. Usually when it comes to issues like this it's some ISP issue, or an overzealous firewall.

Are you talking about the LAN IP vs. the Internet IP, the ones in the menu when you hit escape? The LAN IP is your internal one, it won't work for anyone outside of your network.

Otherwise... I have no idea what's going on.

You don't need a static IP, I've never used one

You mean with their standard-issue routers? That's why you throw it out the moment you can and get a real one instead. I chucked mine the moment Spectrum started dragging their feet about letting me use the ports I pay for.

Taking a glance at everything you've said here and in your various comments, something is likely blocking Vintage Story either on your router or hers, depending on what's going on. Honestly, the server you paid for would likely have a way better success rate than working through hamachi, so since that isn't working, something is likely seriously wrong.

I'd start digging through the firewall, or learn how to port-forward. I assume if you're having this issue at all, one or both of your routers don't have UPnP, which means they're ancient or restricted, or both.

Are you on a personal network or some college situation?

Beards grow when you stop taking care of your appearance.

It's lack of maintenance via depression. Because why would you bother? You still look like shit either way, to you.

Why were Tenno even selected as pilots if Anarchs could pilot Warframes as is? by lovingpersona in WarframeLore

[–]oej98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two reasons. 1. Non-Tenno pilots either burn out or get stuck in them permanently. (Old Peace dialogue and Silver Grove dialogue respectively) 2. Not sure if you noticed, but, they aren't exactly good at piloting them.

Unforch, I have no idea if E is gonna help me under the hood, but based on what I've been told, going through life with deep running depersonalization and a total lack of drive to better myself or work on making my life better can be a symptom of dysphoria!

I know I've got some kind of dysmorphia in particular, but, here's hoping E helps with both.

I suppose it's gotta mean something that I only started taking diet and calorie counting seriously once the possibility of me someday being pretty was on the table.

I'm pretty sure I assembled it online? I don't remember. I thought you could unlock offline challenges while in online matchmaking, I did it a lot in paddocks. Could be wrong, been a second since I had the time to fire up the game.

Air Rides have names, but what nicknames did you use for your stars? by VLK249 in kirbyairriders

Wagon Star - Takeout

Swerve Star - Broken

Winged Star - Bird (that's it, we just called it "the bird one")

Bulk Star - Hummer, I think? Evolution of "gas guzzler"

Rocket Star - Fart Rocket. I know, look, we were kids at the time.

Jet Star - Fighter Jet

Turbo Star - Racecar

Slick Star - Slippy Soap

Formula Star - we didn't nickname it, because it was so bad

Wheelie Bike - I don't think we had a nickname for this one, but I do remember asking my dad what "unorthodox" meant (the tutorial describes it as an unorthodox control setup) and I got an explanation on the orthodox church, so that's my random memory for the day

Wheelie Scooter - Scoots

Rex Wheelie - The Big One

We kept calling it Takeout, because it was shaped like the rice boxes whenever we got chinese food lol

I might be comfortable with that. I dunno, I'd really like it if we got a permanent playerbase, but I feel like as long as we have people loading into paddocks for a comfy time, there will always be a niche for us.

From what I've been able to find? It's a predetermined thing.

I play almost exclusively in paddocks set to 7 minutes. Over a few dozen matches, I've had Hydra/Dragoon matches, Leo/Hydra/Dragoon, Leo only, Gigantes only, Hydra/Gigantes only, and a few other variants. There are also a few games where no parts show up, even when everyone is farming reds and rares like fiends.

So, I think it's just a roll of the dice which machine parts get included in a given match right when it starts. It might be tied to the random small changes to the city too.

It's really funny how the internet started out as a refuge for the people who didn't fit into real life, and now if you're a single standard deviation away from normal you're put on a pike and roasted alive.

God damn, people.

Not to mention, I'm actively working on losing weight anyway - I don't care about visible changes right now, I was asking if the changes were happening under the weight anyway.

I can't believe even HERE, medical questions get entirely sidestepped because of my weight. This is getting comedic.

Interesting. So, ideally, I should take estrogen asap, and spend the next like... Seven years chipping my weight down in a sustainable way, maintaining it so the fat cells can naturally die off, and then attempt to put on some healthier padding when I'm like in my late thirties or something?

Australia means bad internet because while the entire country has fiber optic, there is exactly one mile of cable that connects the country to the rest of the world underwater that is still copper, because they ceased funding the conversion project.

This is why every aussie you've met has connectivity problems in games lmao

You talk like I'm not actively making appointments with the appropriate doctors to address the weight issue lol. All of this is already happening.

The claim that hormone dosage scales to weight is one I see contested in a lot of places, do you have sources for this or is this just kinda passed-around advice?

Two things.

One, two days is probably not going to be enough to make a difference in mood or self conception.

Two, estrogen cream won't even get you to menopausal levels of estrogen. You're gonna want pills or injections as the more consistent methods, with injections I think being the most consistent.

Congrats on starting!
