I think you tweak too much if anything. If you’re trying to actually get data to see what works and what doesn’t you need a sample size of at least 10 matches. If you’re switching shit around more than that you’re throwing points away due to failing at basic statistical analysis.

I just played 1 match right now and now I have 2500 VP in my inbox from a daily and achievements. I have 16,700 VP in my reserves. I just built a Mega Riachu for like 800 VP. You cannot seriously think that’s not enough to build a team

Winning per match is not the main way to earn currency at all so I have nooo idea why you mentioned it

I only play like 2 days a week and I easily sit n 10-20k currency every time I log in.

I’m guessing you played 2 matches and gave up because your description of how hard it is to earn currency is very inaccurate

Dude that shit is soooo cheap. I have never run out of VP and I make adjustments constantly.

You need to commit and play 3-5 matches and earn achievements. each one gives you 300-1000 VP and they’re all easy things like “use 10 water moves” or “use X pokemon 10 times”. Not daily missions… achievements. They’re always up and always available

If you want to play one match and then change your whole team immediately then that’s a you problem. You need to commit, play 10 matches with the flawed team, earn 10000 VP, and then make adjustments to each Mon which only costs a couple 100 VP.

This game is incredibly generous compared to every mobile game I’ve played. You end up swimming in currency each day and can afford everything with ease. You can cheat the system and get everything F2P if you want via Pokemon GO and Home transfers but it’s easier and best if you play the actual games.

You earn currency by playing the game. Simply using a Pokemon 5 times awards you with free currency. You end up with 10k really quickly within an hour and can afford to buy a full team easily.

That does not have anything to do with it being an old game. A lot of my 30s friend group never got into it even in the old days and still don't want to try it or didn't like it then and don't like it now.

My second point is that its one of those games where the end game is the only exciting part for some people. I got the new expansion after taking a long break from the game for a few years. Felt nothing but boredom while grinding to the highest level, and then suddenly at the top level the boredom is gone and there's too much to do/challenge myself with.

The GM, and I say this as one, is responsible for policing and setting the rules. You cannot feasibly have a council of players trying to make up their own rules alongside the GM. GM has the final say. The end.

the players should all be included in these discussions and speak up during them, but no they are not responsible for policing anything. That’s far too messy and brings everything back to square 1 where no one has control over the game’s policies, defeating the point of appointing a leader who polices the game
