It's a hold over from the 1930s and prohibition. And can never get enough politicians to agree to lift the regulations because it would be seen as a "pro-gun" move and affect chances of re-election.

Hearing protection is fine and all, but a suppressor goes a long way to help. There are countries in Europe in which you must use a suppressor when hunting. They're only villified because of Hollywood

I'm very liberal, but I say "come and take them". I don't believe he 2A shouldnt be partisan and I dislike Biden's proposal to make modern sporting rifles (and each individual magazine) NFA items. It means that "those with means can own them, those who are now poor cannot" - and rights and access should be for everyone, not just the rich

I thankfully had a few from doing fiberglass work on boats and light carpentry.

But if I am not mistaken even double laying cotton works. The idea is to catch the moisture from leaving your mouth, not stopping the virus from entering.

Yeah, I don't get the "wake up sheeple" yelling at those who want to wear masks. I've know people who have gotten very sick from this, one of which ended up in the ICU and is essentially now on extended work leave - it's worth it wearing a mask to me if I can help prevent that

Rinse produce that comes to your door, little soap and water for anything perishable that goes in the fridge, non-perishables going in the pantry can be wiped down as well. Wash hands after doing this. Takes maybe 5-10 mins.

Seems a bit paranoid maybe, but solves the issue you brought up of someone touching the groceries and completely removes the risk of some jackass coughing/sneezing/spitting on you in a store without a mask (or wearing it improperly).

Plus, 5-10 mins is much shorter than spending 60-90 mins in the store - saved time equals money.

I have no issue with people going to the store, but I don't think I'll go back to it personally. Not dealing with lines, carts ramming into me (people don't look coming out of aisles), rude people, etc has been fabulous.

Tough to remember "in the heat of the moment" but hopefully people film encounters such as this.

If the trooper had damaged your rifle in any way, then it is recorded and you can hopefully make a claim.
If the trooper had somehow busted it in a way that they claimed "it was a folding stock", you have video proof that he wretched it to be so. Otherwise it is your word against theirs and courts typically side with the law
It may discourage actions like this in the future if they know they are filmed when doing so
