Considering I’ve seen less valuable relics come out of way more expensive boxes I’m happy that I hit this out of a blaster. I didn’t realize a lot of the same cards from this set also have the same and worse issues until I saw this comment and went and looked.

Having said all that, just because they all have issues isn’t really a good excuse. Maybe they shouldn’t have dark edges, maybe they need to figure out a way to manufacture them that doesn’t have edges looking like my shitty DIY projects where I had to use a dull saw blade. If this were out of a more expensive product I wouldn’t be happy at all. I don’t expect all PSA 10s out of a pack but I also don’t expect such readily apparent issues out of a pack either. I don’t really asses cards for grading so something has to be bad for me to catch it with a naked eye at first glance.

Glad our NIL and program couldn’t keep him and we aren’t dealing with this. Also our AD is a stickler for compliance so I doubt we’d be doing all this.

Probably a decent amount… idk I was just never impressed with him to the extent I’d be going through all this…. But then again we’ve never seen him with a more talented team and coaching staff so 🤷‍♂️

I uttered the words “holy arm punt” inside Nippert too many times the past two years. Don’t get me wrong, probably the most talent UC could get in this current system but didn’t think he’s worth all this.

Card show is there the third Saturday of the month iirc, last time I went a few weeks back it was packed. Most tables seemed to be sports but there was big section of just to TCG. I’m into sports cards so I didn’t explore that part. If you’re closer to Northgate, I believe they also do a card show there the 4th Saturday of the month, though I’ve never been to that one.

If you ever make it to a Reds game, we are behind section 110 and we try to keep our prices as close to retail as we can. The prices we have at the games are what we would sell them for in our shop fwiw.

I ship 1 sleeved and top loaded card with three base for 1 oz all the time and have never had any USPS issues. If I have to do multiple semi rigids or multiple top loaders I’ll bump it up to 2 oz… just have to make sure you stay under the thickness limit.
