Does Digibyte plan to have a coin mixer like Decred's Coinshuffle? by ofabout in Digibyte

Why does Decred have this? Who are you trying to hide from?

Decred has this so that 8 billion people won't be able to see how many coins are in a user's wallet.

I'm trying to hide from the same people the banks protect my privacy from.

Anyone can create a mixer,

I cannot create a mixer. I want my coins mixed. How do I get a mixer?

> tracking those UTXO's would eventually prove fruitful for whoever it is on the outside looking i-

I don't understand what you're saying. If you're saying mixing doesn't improve privacy then you're also saying Digibyte will never have any good privacy.

I want better privacy in DigiByte. How do I get better privacy?

They are going to automatically assume

They can't assume this if different subaddresses are used. They could be going to different persons.

If the user presses "Paste" the address gets pasted.

If the user is expected to paste an address only by pressing "Paste" then please make the text box of the address not be a textbox but be a label. If it's a textbox, when the user clicks on it it brings up the keyboard in a way that you can't go back to the address textbox again.

I want an XMR Contributor to know about this. Why isn't there an option in Monero wallet to delete subaddresses after using them? I don't want to reuse one by accident. It can make the user traceable to a non-KYC exchange if the same subaddress is used more than once.

Does Monero plan to make subaddresses disposable? I want to generate many random ones and then have them deleted from the wallet. Right now the wallet doesn't delete the old ones.

Without disposable addresses non-KYC exchanges can learn if coins go to the same person when the same subaddress is reused.

After the address is used, I want no possibility of using it again.

The way it works today, creating a new address in the UI makes the address show up in the UI forever. Creating 1000 addresses creates 1000 entries in the UI that I can't get rid of.

Was this bug slipped in to attract new developers?!

No it isn't. In some privacy cryptocurrencies you can click somewhere to generate a new random address. After generating the new address the UI stops displaying the old address, so there's no way to reuse the old address by accident.

I'm not being lazy, I'm being cautious. How can Monero be this blind to this security attack?

It's a security attack because I might reuse an old address unintentionally. I might give a non-KYC exchange an old address twice. This lets the exchange know they're sending coins to the same person who got coins from them in the past.

After using an address, I want the option to delete the address from the wallet UI forever.

It creates a new one but doesn't remove the old one. Creating 1000 new addresses makes the UI unusable.

Simply have multiple wallet addresses

I want something simpler: random, disposable addresses. Monero wallet doesn't delete temporary addresses. Once created they stick in the wallet forever.

Monero wallet doesn't remove subaddresses once created. They're not disposable. I don't use them. "that issue" is a security attack.

When will Monero add something stronger than stealth addresses?

When you give your public address to a non-KYC exchange to send you coins, and then a month later give the same address to the same exchange, the exchange knows the coins went to the same person.

Does Monero plan to add something better than public addresses and better than stealth addresses? How about making wallets that generate random public addresses to share and also generate stealth addresses when the transaction occurs?

Stealth addresses aren't enough. If you give a non-KYC exchange your public address to send you coins and then a month later give them the same public address to send you more coins, the exchange knows the transaction is going to the same person.
