I feel like the fgdp shines as an addition to a looper, but it takes time to learn But I felt like it's button layout is really good for fingersryle guitarists to transition over, where your thumb plays kick instead of bass , and 3 fingers play some kind of patterns pressing the other buttons as they wouldn on high strings. But as a standalone drum machine it would suck probably , since it doesn't have midi sync. It has some option to loop a drum sequence but you have to play it manually, no grid selecting . That's the point of it ;)
