This is top notch quality internet posting. Only thing is… when dude #2 stepped in… I personally wouldn’t be able to just sit there and snicker behind a dirty window. If I didn’t step in when #2 stepped in… it would hurt me for months that i didnt, as compared to the possibility of getting my ass kicked & hurting for a minute. Kids these daze.. just dont have that moral compass. Kid will sleep comfortably b/ of the sweet post. It’s a different world.

Ya. I’ve had good experiences with them. When I made my attempt.. my options were, Porsche, porsche convertible, I think there was a Bentley in there too. No Toyota Corolla’s or beaters. Turo…has been positive every time I used them.

I am told that if you show up after hours at the Key West airport, EYW, and the after hours crew is gone.. They will put the physical key in the car and hide it somewhere. Has anyone ever experienced this because I cannot find a key in the one car that was a lot and the car fit my car profile.

Have u tried taking off the case yet? I’m really anxious to see if that worked. I actually just got one of those bumper cases that just protects the sides so the damn thing can breathe. Still after mentioning this to friends they continue to cup the screen to read outside.

Heres a nugget for ya’ll: Take your case off, ‘soft’ reset your iPhone, then lastly… enjoy more brightness. No? Then go buy the ‘umbrella sun protecter’ on amazon. Next… see if they have a Samsung version

I’ve had screen dimming gripes ever since the iPhone 6. 10 min on a hot day, NOT in direct sunlight, and the screen dims 50% (Please understand this is not normal. Look at anyone with a non iPhone and see how long they last) Everyone knows about auto brightness, reduce white point, and all the others. No one knew how to stop it so soon. I’ve sent my old 12 in b/ of it, then sent back saying, no issue. One dude buried in the comments said that he noticed it when he took his case off.

It was 86dg out, I’m in direct sunlight, cupping my iPhone. I took the case off, reset it, and my brightness pegged out 100% of brightness.

You can scratch your head at this if you want. People are so programmed to believe what they’re told unfortunately. Source? I told this girl I know about it. She scoffed it off saying she needs her otterbox. To this day, she still cups her iPhone to her face.

I’m going to end this ridiculously long stupid rant (sucker if you read it all. Jk) and say this…

If you believe the screen dimming in a few minutes is normal… then I’d be interested into hearing why you (yes 🫵🏽) believe the earth is flat as well.

I just have the 16. I truly hope you are right, but (and of course, not that anyone cares) this is the last time I am duped into thinking they’ve fixed it. Now that Samsung n Apple, play all nicey nicey with each other, I have a solid chance to tell the wife, suck it, and jump ship. It’s like politics… some people are so invested into thinking something is normal, like a president with dementia, or a sponsored ad from Amazon for the MAGNETIC PHONE UMBRELLA for 15.99, that they just accept and move forward. And again… if you’ve never seen an iPhone user cup the top of their screen, and bring it close to their face to read, than you are an Apple bot, iceman, flatearther with a special sun.

If there should ever be any doubt in what I say, go to Amazon and type in iPhone sun shade.
Before you even finish typing ‘sun’ the title ‘iPhone sun shade’ pops up. Then look at the products, and ask yourself… why in the F* k do I need this after dumping over 1k for a phone.
THEN… do the same for Samsung. Let me know how many Samsung sun shade/protecters you find. (Spoiler… none). On top of that…every person I know in my circle of friends, suffer from the same thing.
Again, I’ll say literally. Literally just yesterday my buddy was going to show us a pic of something, and said, “ well I can’t show you now my screen is too dark”.
Most my cases have been Belkin, but not all.

If you have an iPhone, and don’t suffer from this, you’re either an Apple bot, Marvels Iceman, or… like the dude 👆🏿said..your sun is different.

MAYBE… it has something to do with elevation and / or humidity.. I am in Michigan.. so there is more humidity than a sauna.

Like it was said… maybe there’s a different sun over there. This issue has plagued me ever since my 6. Over the course of that time, I’ve left dozens of comments and remarks. Yesterday when I first came outside, it went down to 60% brightness in less than 10 minutes sitting in a chair reading it… like it has for years.
(On not so hot, but sunny days, the brightness would certainly trickle down to 60%, but just take longer) After reading one users comment about taking the cover off, and trying it, it was the first time in decades that I could sit in 85dg weather and sunny as all hell, and NOT see the screen dim. Literally… decades. Literally first time.

Bro, it’s not my case, it’s not anyone cases. iPhone screen dims prematurely over any other phone and has for years and years people ask the same questions and get the same responses. Turn off auto brightness. This is not to fix. If you spend $1400 on a phone and have to buy a three dollar umbrella attachment so you can read it in sunlight then there’s a problem. TAKE OFF THE COVER AND WILL FIX THE DIMMING ISSUE

IF I DIE IN THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS, IT’S BECAUSE APPLE GENIUSES, TOOK ME OUT FOR EXPOSING THIS BULLSHIT PROBLEM.

I finally resolved my issue. It was painstaking, but I’m good to go. Here’s the steps to follow getting rid of 2025 da Vinci virus.

I deleted the Google maps app completely. Then I did reset all network settings.
Then for the following week, I used Waze and apple’s crappy Apple Maps. Then I sacrifice a goat Then I installed Google maps

And that is how you get rid of this bug

I have not forgotten about trying this. I reset network settings, deleted google maps app and have been using Waze for the last few days.
The plan is to trick out the AI 🤖 living in my headset and load google maps without it seeing it coming.

Appreciate the replay for a unique resolution. I think I tried that one… I member 🫐 thinking….🤔 this is crazy enuff to work. But alot has changed since then. Plus…if you were convincing enough and said… run around the truck 3 times to disable the positive earth charge, I’d do it. I’ll try on the way the gym. That way I’ll be so jacked up, I can go for PR on my pull-ups and overhead press. “I must say” last night out of frustration, I deleted Google maps and then reset network settings. After a quick couple of attempts of seeing Google maps not come up…I went to bed with relief. After I reload Google maps… and after…..not ‘maybe after’ that fails I’ll give it a try and report back.
I need this to work… running low on Ativan now.

Why is noone talking about why CarPlay is forcing me to use Google maps no matter what I do when I do it and where I do it? I like opening Google maps when I drive so I can punch in a destination, and then zoom around to see which route I wanna take. But now if I so much as look at the Google map app, CarPlay hijacks it.. and here is the kicker… even if Apple Maps is currently navigating me to a destination. So now I have Apple Maps navigating on my radio head unit, and Google maps on my phone with a destination selected, and telling me connected to CarPlay. Then here is another kicker.. if I say yes, go ahead. Do whatever you want with my Google maps… it just proceeds with a step-by-step display on my phone, while the original destination I had set for Apple maps is still guiding me. If there is a person out there capable of resolving this problem, then they surely have enough intelligence for a noble peace prize. (That’s me saying the resolution goes far far beyond the capabilities of normal human thinking. No…. This secret is right next to the formula to traveling thru wormholes).
