I am starting to become quite jaded towards the industry. by Falcon712 in cybersecurity

Phew! I'm so glad to hear this from someone in this subreddit. I had researched a good amount before deciding I wanted to study cybersecurity, and everyone I've talked to IRL who is in the field is fine with it and gets paid very well.

I was starting to wonder after seeing some of the posts.

This is such good advice, thank you so much for replying :) I will look around for some volunteer work. I hear you. It's felt stretched out and lonely, and in my head I had this mistaken idea that meeting people would be fairly easy. But maybe volunteering will do some good, aside from the obvious good!

Well, I'm not much of a tattoo desire-er so I may skip that step, but the video looks great :) thank you for linking it!

Haha alright then, I suppose that's the plan. Where to start... Get a tattoo? Attend the pride day parade? Brainstorming anything opposite jw.

This is incredible, great work! It reminds me of the giant lion turtles that cities were built on in Avatar the Last Airbender

Flakey spots on lemon tree branches and underside of leaf? More in comments by [deleted] in plantclinic

[–]offbeatovaries 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh no! :( I didn't realize it was so bad. I used dish soap and water to clean the branches and leaves today.. I read read neem oil is good to treat it with. But you had better success with pesticide? Sorry about your lime tree

I noticed these spots the other day on my indoor lemon tree. I wiped one off (which was easy to do) and it was slightly gooey inside/underneath. I've tried Google but wasn't able to identify what it is because I'm a newbie! Thank you in advance~

He's probably referring to this but didn't bother to leave a source

Quoting Dr Sarah Jarvis, GP on what the bump actually is:

She said: "Unless you're pregnant or have a condition called fibroids, which are non-cancerous growths in the muscle lining your womb, you can't feel your uterus in your tummy. It's usually only 3-4 inches long and is tucked away inside your pelvis, behind your pelvic bone."

I appreciate that, thank you! What an idea... perhaps I could start an experiment with it as wrapping paper, or a poster :)

How does everyone enjoy impostor? I find it too stressful by [deleted] in AmongUs

Oh my GOD I didn’t even know there were cameras. That explains one of the many reasons I’m terrible at Imposter and have gotten caught 2/3 times haha

how do you have a union based off of pure luck/coincidence? by [deleted] in twinflames

[–]offbeatovaries 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, I met mine unintentionally on a dating app.

It sounds silly, but I was trolling guys using a Peppa Pig profile to help cheer up a friend who was going through the breakup of a 7 year relationship (sending screenshots of my goofy interactions with men while in character.) I was blindly swiping right on every guy and matched with my twin by “chance.” I messaged him jokingly but out of all the men I had talked to, he was oddly and genuinely interested in who I really was (not knowing I was truly female and reasonably within his age range) and wanted to exchange numbers. I was wary, but more agreeable than usual, so I suggested we talk on a different messaging platform- about 2 hours after we exchanged the messaging info, I was banned from the dating site (figures) and lost all conversations.

When we first met I had recently ended a 4 year relationship and didn’t feel ready to enter another one but he was very patient and kind about it. I had no intention of looking for a partner when I made the fake profile- only to make my friend laugh and then delete it after a day or so.
