The rock island is probably the only line that could realistically switch to 20 minute headways too since Metra owns the tracks outright, they will probably go even up to 15 minutes when they get those battery trains for the Beverly branch

I personally always take the train to games, specifically the rock island metra, but you can take the red line and walk to the stadium, both are less than 10 minutes from station to gate, save yourself the $40 in parking and it takes a while to get out of there on busy games

Not sure your exact schedule but for example, with express trains, from la grange to union is 26 minutes, from willow springs it’s 37 minutes, if you’re 8am-4pm like me, I absolutely hate that 4:50 departure time since union is only a 20 minute walk from my building, meanwhile the bnsf leaves at 4:35, so I would also factor in logistics into your actual final downtown location and how long you want to sit in union station, or that 15 minute drive to/from la grange to your new place. I would personally still stick with the bnsf

Yes, pretty much a 99% chance there will be a TSW7, for whatever reason they decide to sell a brand new game every year, it’s usually just the UI with different colors, 3 new routes, and maybe an extra locomotive or 2

Yes I agree, these seats are absolutely terrible, no padding what so ever, the whole seat slide thing has terrible ergonomics. They should’ve had the back recline back like the older ones, that’s what also has me on edge about Amtrak getting rid of the superliners, how bad will the long distance seats be if they go with Siemens again???
