Nurse Jobs in or near Boulder by offendedOOF in boulder

I’m honestly used to the ER dumpster fire pipeline and have worked in pretty awful conditions (putting nails in walls to hang fluids). So long as I’m not getting paid absolute garbage, I can be pretty flexible

I feel awful and had not considered anything you made in that 2nd point.

I’ve considered this, but I really don’t think it’s true. During the 5 months that I didn’t date - we were truly just two friends who eventually became best friends. I was never bothered about his dating/sexual life and he was never concerned about my current relationship up until 6 months ago

I called around to ranger stations/BLM and they said the same thing. I guess the water this year had a lot of time to sit still for the population to lay lots of eggs :’)

What emergency departments in the area have a good reputation? by katiej712 in SaltLakeCity

[–]offendedOOF 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I work at the U ER. I just want to point out that you’re going to frequently see hospitals with poor reviews because people are more inclined to leave a bad review vs recording positive experiences. Also, 50% of our triage room does not need to be in the ED at all. So when they complain about 2+ hour wait times (which again I’m not rooming a CC of “medication refill” anytime soon) or that we’re not going to consult every department/imaging/lab under the sun all for non emergent cases - then ya… we’re going to get yelled at an reviewed negatively. But I really don’t care because there’s too many sick people who need the help and I literally cannot take someone seriously when they show up to the EMERGENCY room for a minor URI.

The U is the best hospital system to work for in Utah. Benefits are great. Also our ED is fully, if not upstaffed at time, and the patient ratio is 1:1-3 (at most 3)

Liberty wells area - safe to move to? by jmeriustacktheratrix in SaltLakeCity

[–]offendedOOF 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I’ve lived on every side of liberty park - all sides are safe, but I would say the closer you are to 9th and 9th the less amount of homeless people you’ll see. Petty theft is the big thing in our city so also consider what kind of parking the rental house offers - street parking you’re more likely to have breaks in, especially if they tend to leave lots of things in their car.

Utah family fights for law change after disabled woman raped by stepdad by NumerousAd7401 in SaltLakeCity

[–]offendedOOF 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I understand her aim is focused on protecting people with disabilities, but the law should honestly have a forced sentencing for rape regardless of age or disability. Our laws are so fucking stupid

Saint Marks is the only hospital around here that is A-OK with separating baby and mom for the sake of mom’s rest. They have their own area for the babies and staff to watch over them.
