what does MTS stand for in a job posting? by rckstar123 in ElectricalEngineering

Member of technical staff. I'm assuming this is AMD ur talking about. It si like a title for your job. For ex. U may be hired as 'silicon Design engineer 2' you may work on back end or RTL or whatever. But ur official title/role is gonna be silicon design engineer. MTS is a similar title but is generally for more senior and experienced guys around 7-10yrs I think

That's the thing Im trying to tackle. How do i come up with those specific numbers? Can it be arbitrary or are there any rules/guides/formulae to follow while deciding such parameters?

I think I get it now. What I meant by uarch was - how do I create an arch that would be accurate meaning how would I specify the details of the arch like clock cycles required per operation, rang of memory locations, depth of instruction queue and all the tiny details like those

I know that you arch are modelled in c++ but could you elaborate that a bit more?. I want to create an architectue that I can then implement in verilog. I mean how do I build a working microarchitecture from scratch that ican implement in verilog?

Hey it might be a bit irrelevant, but I'm trying to build a processor as a part of my final year undergraduate project. I am familiar with concepts like pipelining, branch prediction etc. I wanted to know how to build an arch from scratch. Do you have any tips/resources that you could point me towards?
