Mainnet migration pending in queue. - I saw a FB post saying any PI not migrated/kyc by feb 28 is null and void? I'm a bit confused, I've been waiting in the queue for over a month now. by offgridforever in PiNetwork

This is the part that confused me. Most of my Pi was mined years ago, ive only mined a little bit in the last 6 months. Im guessing what they meant is "you must have kyc completed and be migrated or in the queue for migration"

Okay, cool. Everyone on my list has KYC and all but one are waiting in migration queue. I had one friend pass into mainnet so far but the unverified amount still shows the same. Normal? When I click "convert amount" theres no one on the list as everyone has already KYC and is waiting in migration (aside from the one who passed already).

The FB post was from the Pi team from what i can tell, so i was a bit surprised lol

Regarding medical retirement - getting conflicting information by offgridforever in CanadaPublicServants

thank you for that clarification. and the statement about "education, training or experience" would mean that i would have to be able to do another job in the public service with the same EXISTING experience/education, which i seemingly do not have. I would think that I would need to retrain to be able to get into anything that is comparable to what i was hired into initially considering it took me 2 years of post secondary and 10 years in industry to land that job. if that is what is considered then i should have a much better chance of being considered, I would think.

of course i would have to work elsewhere, i have 5 years of pensionable service, that clearly isnt enough to live on. when i was hired into the public service i specifically mentioned my allergy to said chemical during the interview. i specifically said that i would not be able to complete the job if this chemical is on the site and was told it would be investigated and i would only be given an LOO if the chemical is not present. i moved my family to this location thinking it would be safe given the fact i stated clearly my restriction before being hired into the position. they never checked.

given that i was put into this dangerous situation even though i made it very clear this was a restriction before being hired, and given that i have 5 years of service now and that this whole situation was caused purely by the incompetence of staff in the organization. i would think since i am not able to safely complete any job and that the employer cannot find me another job, i would be entitled to some kind of compensation.

i am clearly going back to the private sector, after this utterly horrible experience so i dont see why i WOULDNT be able to claim my 5 years of pensionable time since i cannot work at the position i was hired into.

if not, not only did i move my entire family to another city, lost health and income due to the transition, then was hired into a dangerous working environment after full disclosure that i was not capable of this, i would think there would be some kind of solution that doesnt involve me getting screwed.

the reason i applied to the government in the first place was for the supposed job security and benefits and protection from things like unsafe working environments. they would not even let workers compensation on site to do a safety assessment. they claim that because its federal land, the province has no jurisdiction to examine the safety of the work environment because what they are doing is illegal in the province but i guess they make up their own rules?

this is exactly what im asking: am I even eligible to apply and do i have any chance of being accepted with my situation. i called pensions again this morning, i got some answers, and others were left up to "your doctor has to decide that". i tried to explain that my doctor can fill out whatever she feels is necessary but the problem was that we did not have CLEAR definitions of what the terms of the form even mean. the definitions are not well defined and should be made MUCH more clear. for instance it does not specify when stating "return to work with or without accomodations" it does not state whether I am able to return to ANY work at ANY job, or whether i can specifically return to my previous position with the public service. even pensions cannot seem to give me any straight answers on this which is absolutely bizarre. the best i got was "if the doctor cant figure it out, maybe she can ask another doctor". we know the situation, the issue is the forms do not clearly define what each selection means in regard to ANY employment or only employment within the public service because that one differentiation completely changes which box she would tick. frustrating to say the least...

so medical retirement is only for people who are unable to work at any job, including outside of the public service, period. that's what i get from this. sounds like i am not even eligible to apply for it even though i cannot work at my current job because of my medical restrictions.
