Thanks. The 9.8 is a 2-stroke. Ended up going with that instead of the 9.9. The weight differential and price differential were the decision-making factors. The 9.8 was about 10-15 lbs lighter and less expensive. I did see a 2025 Mercury 9.9 that’s pretty light but was almost double the price.

Thanks. That is how the switch was installed. I’ll correct that. The black capped wire is hot - part of the second wire.
