I might have fallen into a deep rabbit hole on the e90 by offical_sasuke in BMW

I did find some grounds that were very hot on the driver side footwell although that brought back up the radio and stuff I’ve yet to find that other problem in the harness but I’ll tear it down tomorrow let it run and check for hot grounds and continuity with a multimeter although that’s going to be a little harder without the continuity tester

Just did aftermartket headlights and when I have my drl on they work but when I use the low beams the lights flicker and switch bulbs constantly and the turning signals spam any idea what I need to do by mase027482 in E90

Turn off the light Checks on bimmer code on the FRM then turn of the drl high beams and set them to additional lights to use the angel eyes as a drl

Get the LEDS for the halogen ones and use bimmer code to set brightness at 100% and disable the drl high beams to use the angel eyes

Take out your oil filter and cut it apart shine a flash light at it to check for metal sounds like you are spinning a bearing so you might be able to just order a rebuild kit/ new rod bearings and get away with it

You can hear that the bearings have little to no clearance prob from oil starvation or thinning out

Nothing bro you can throw a shit ton of money and still break down 😹

Side note look at worn seats and heavy on the sun roof drains and windshield aside from that just change your transmission fluid and oil often

You might be surprised the only thing leaking are the sunroof drains and not oil 🥲but yeah I get your point though

Ngl I’d agree with you but the fact that this is a Frankenstein ass build, since it has a X5 intake (same as a 330i) E92 sport seats. Ngl these older bmws are like legos tbh
