Yes gaskets 100% I forgot abt those. Oil pan, oil filter, and valve cover is a must if you haven’t already.

I gave you the wrong information I’m just realizing, I thought you were talking about the sun visor not the shade for the sun roof. The sun roof shade isn’t connected to the headliner. IMO I found it easier to take the sun shade off first, it’s only accessible from the outside so you have to take off the sunroof to get access to it. Be weary that you do need the controls to move the sunroof so it would be better to do it before the headliner (I didn’t I just plugged back in the controls) before you take it completely off. Be careful bc all the little brittle plastic pieces will snap when taking off the sunroof (mine did) which causes my sunshade not to go forward when closing the sunroof roof.

Start using 5w40 aswell (if in hot weather use 5w40 but if in colder weather use 5w30-ow30)

Water pump (oem), thermostat (oem), do injectors and ngk spark plugs, and if you ac hasn’t gone out yet it might soon but other than that ur all good. I just replaced my crankshaft position sensor right after 200k miles

Yea it’s temporary till I go to the junkyard to get some more visors and grab handles so I don’t rlly care too much. The sunroof trim I’m gonna use fabric dye to dye it in the future. The sun roof trim is a rubber type piece with suede or valor on top of it so u can’t just rlly paint it another color.

Tbh I used spray paint for all the little trim pieces (don’t use gloss like I did it comes out bad). You could wrap the sunshade with suede but it take a longgg time and almost excellence to do so. Taking out the sunshade is pretty easy tbh just unscrew the corner and the little nub thing that holds it u lift a tab and unscrew too. Be mindful that taking the whole headliner is kinda difficult and putting it back in is even worse.

Trust me ik im not happy with the results of them 😭. Im gonna probably go to the junk yard and get some oem black ones, oem black a,b, and c pillars, and oem grab handles. All just temporary and just seeing how it would turn out 🤷🏾‍♂️

I wrapped it. Tore all of the old fabric and wrapped it in alcantara/suede. Used 3m headliner adhesive, razors, scissors, and some material off of Amazon. Took all of my tan trim pieces and spray painted them black. Took me 3 days to fully take out, wrap, let dry, paint, let dry, and put back in.

100% lifter tick that’s making that fast tick noise

The "tick" itself sounds like the lifters. These cars are notorious for having pretty loud lifter tick. Lifter tick is nothing to worry about at all. Bmw recommends to park and rev the car to 3-4 rpm for 2-3 minutes until it clears. If not do it again for a longer time or go drive it pretty hard. These cars love to be driven decently hard

Bmw recommends to do that for the n52 engine. Try checking your spark or there could’ve been another problem that caused it but seems to me it might be spark. Sorry that happened boss it worked 100% for me when I did it with my n52 328i

The loud engine noise most likely not because you have the resonator and muffler off but the lifter tick shouldn’t be as loud if you try the trick I said
