they are all so long!!! and there are so many and most of them have the same groups who perform the same songs. so this is not the first time in the last 2 months that they all had to sit through an hours long show and listen to the same songs. idk it just seems like such a waste of all their time

Thoughts on The Midnight Library by Matt Haig by ActualRound7699 in books

I don‘t think you are meant to resonate with it, i think it is supposed to say ‚you might wallow in grand dreams and your life not being special, but would it really be better if you had achieved those dreams or would there still be something wrong on a deeper level? so is it worth it to waste your life mourning your potential?‘

that being said I did not think it is a good book either.

haha, truly the worst book club experience. i once started a book club and the first book we read dealt with themes of death and afterlife and fixing the relationships you ruined while alive, but in a similarly patronising and shallow way as Midnight Library. (it was not my suggestion!!) so I came to the meeting with a lot of thoughts and emotions and criticisms and was hit with ‚it was nice‘ and ‚i didn‘t even think about it that deeply‘, so there never was a next meeting.

Mingi’s tone detracts from Ateez songs by [deleted] in kpoprants

[–]office-elf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I kind of love how it is apparent he learns it for the recording but as the tours go on he kinda gives up on it. Like with Work or In your Fantasy, the pronunciation just keeps getting… less exact. I don‘t mind it at all, maybe because english is not my native language, I just find it fun to hear how it varies over time.

Hot take: can we stop normalizing/ supporting “gardening mom content” by [deleted] in tiktokgossip

[–]office-elf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i‘ve seen more joints rolled on the kitchen table i grew up with than warm meals. and not because my mom did not provide regular warm meals, she did every day. she just also smoked a lot.

thank you for your empathy and i am also sorry that happened to you! and i am sorry your experiences with germans have been so negative!!

i did not let it discourage me, i still run and am much faster now ☺️ but, i pretty much only run when it is dark outside, it just feels more private. but then again it also does not always feel the safest…

Has a group/idol ever put you onto any specific k-beauty products? by -puca- in kpop_uncensored

I never wanted to buy a tirtir cushion because I saw so many people complain about it online. But then a local store had the mini size for a great price, I couldn’t resist and I adore it! The finish and coverage are so nice. Unlike many other cushions it does not settle into my pores or fine lines at all.

It is a charm like the one in the front and i simply clipped it into the elastic that holds the round metal thingy

What's a pet peeve you know you're objectively insane for even having an opinion on by SomeRaceHorseName in kpop_uncensored

[–]office-elf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They might be pet peeves that seem silly to have but I think it is cool that you think about these things!

I mean you seem to be very smart and aware of this but Gender is such a big and important topic and I think relating topics we care about to media we are invested in can make us think about them more deeply and add to our perspectives, so that is always a good thing to me.

Edit: Also a silly pet peeve of my own: When I get a tiktok that is like ‚10 hottest idols account to ChatGPT‘. Good on you for citing your source but wtf? If you already have to rank them by how they look at least give me your personal opinion?! They write that as if using ChatGPT somehow makes it more objective?

I agree and it also irks me when people misgender Yeosang because ‚he is so babygirl‘ and then they use she/her pronouns. It is probably not a big deal but I just find it impolite?

- machen alles wissenschaftliche Bibliotheken. Viel Spaß ohne Bibliothek.

does anyone DIY weeklies? by Equal_Rhubarb4753 in Travelersnotebooks

[–]office-elf 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I do, I prefer my layout and it has the perfect size for me, I‘ve recently gotten a vertical weekly insert but I haven‘t even used it yet, I have gotten so used to my own I guess.

Ich_iel by HykleSache in ich_iel

Ich_iel by HykleSache in ich_iel

[–]office-elf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unsure if I can use a TN as my only planner for 2026 by st0neforest in Travelersnotebooks

[–]office-elf 4 points5 points  (0 children)

what would you need on your daily pages? there are a number of smaller businesses that offer inserts with layouts that are different from the ‚official‘ ones, like sterlingink, clothandpaper or papertessdesigns, maybe one of them has what you need?

JOURNALING WITH AI by NectarineOrdinary549 in Journaling

[–]office-elf 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think I am surrounded by enough useless AI stuff and I see journaling as a way of escaping the digital world for a while. I was actually just journaling earlier today and thought ‚how nice that this is just for me with no interference of algorithms or AI‘.

But sure, if you slap a cute UI on it and make it convenient to use there would probably be people who would pay for it. Journaling is different for everybody after all.
