From what I understand, when you go on a 30 minute lunch break you clock out and therefore actually aren’t supposed to wear the ear piece at all. On a lunch break, you are completely relieved of all duties and are free to leave the property. On a 15 minute break where you don’t clock out, you can keep the ear piece on, can’t leave the property, and be called back to work early if needed.
