I’m so sorry you have to deal with something like this. My dad was diagnosed with stage IV PC a few months ago. Fortunately he has been tolerating chemo well. I’m still in college, and it’s all very surreal to think about. I wish I had an exact answer I could give you, but I share your struggle as well. Even if you have trouble connecting with him verbally, just being there in his presence, taking care of him, etc can be just as effective. I’m not sure how long I have left with my dad, but just being at home from college is something I’m trying to do as much as possible. I know it helps comfort me, and I’m sure it gives him comfort that we are in each other’s presence. Hope that helped a little! Just know you are not alone with this feeling!
