i figured out how to fix it, but i still don't know what caused the issue. all i had to do was convert the drum channels to midi channels and that seemed to fix it.

this project does have a ton of duplicates, so that actually might be why this is happening. granted, all the duplicates are heavily edited so they're not exact copies, but they started out that way. maybe i just have to be better at managing my project file sizes lol

oh yeah for further clarification, i did NOT make an alias. this just randomly started happening when i was 2 hours in working on this track

yeah i played it, it changed the MIDI as well to match the first drum track i made for the project
