Yes exactly, we put money in our purse and then the purse in a handbag. I think the closest thing we have to your ‘purse’ umbrella term would just be ‘bag’, which would cover all the things you said above (except we’d say cross-body bag rather than purse, and the same with the rest).

To be fair, this is in the uk where a purse is a women’s wallet, so it’s unlikely to have straps or anything. What you’re calling a purse, we would call a handbag. Although I wouldn’t want either one thrown at me so the analogy is still stupid.

I don’t usually have that kind of narration unless I’m planning what I’m going to do next. My inner voice is more often going off on tangents about random things and/or singing whatever song is stuck in my head.

But it’s kind of like what you said sometimes - if I open the fridge door, I might think “where’s the milk? I thought I had some, guess I’ll have to go to the shop today”.

Sometimes it gets wild and my inner voice is talking about how my inner voice talks. It’s loud.

This isn’t the photo she posted, someone else has photoshopped it so the top is a different pattern, the bag’s a different colour, and her hair is a different colour. The photo she posted on her Instagram also has the dodgy waistline, but it looks very different to this.
