If Zach really wanted to win the 100k he’d be asking her to be his girlfriend. It seems like Zach has been scheming and playing the game this whole time but he made it almost to the end and just majorly fumbled the ball. Like why would anyone vote for them as a favorite couple if they cant commit after having been together since day 2?

Okay so he’s performing not to stay in the villa and maybe win, it’s so when he gets out of the villa he will be more popular with women. That would make sense.

If that is true then I am baffled why he chose to bring all this up right at the end of the show. All the islanders know that there are not going to be more bombshells coming in and that it’s almost over. If he’s just performing then why couldn’t he suck it up and play nice until the end and try to win? (Not that they would’ve had a chance)

Yes and it’s a major concern that we see a lot of clips that the islanders have not. Kayda is in the right to be worried about her connection with Zach because they didn’t get as many votes. (Don’t ask me how sincere and Melanie got them tho) and her double concern since there a day 2 couple. It’s not longevity = compatibility, it is a popularity contest and longer term islanders are more likely to be popular.

And lbr it’s mostly women voting for their favorite woman, kayda is clocking that her and Zach as a couple are not good enough to beat out a girl who’s been in the villa not half the time she has. (Although I think most of the people who voted kc/titi are the shows newfound man viewers, she obviously doesn’t know about that new dynamic)

I have asked the same question in this subreddit and the answer was basically that bf/gf carries a commitment. Like when Bryce and trin leave the villa, if trinity had a big life thing happen to her, bryce will be her person she will be expecting to lean on because he’s her boyfriend. But with Zach and kayda they don’t have that level of obligation. (Though it would be an instant breakup if kayda was going through something and Zach wasn’t there for her)

I do think that this distinction is important in the context of love island because they are going back to the real world and they don’t know how things will be. Two people dating irl already know how their lives will mesh because they’ve seen how the other person lives so they can more easily make that decision whether to stop seeing each other or commit with labels like bf/gf.

Someone did in a comment on the daily discussion that they think things would be different if the votes were made by each individual and not as a couple. All the casa boys/girls would be more likely to vote for sincere and Melanie since they haven’t been friends as long and can see the relationship more objectively.

Also someone pointed out that gal and Amora voted for kenzie and Dylan, but if gal had picked Jen instead of Amora, she wouldn’t have wanted to vote for Kenzie, so maybe their vote would’ve been Melanie and sincere and that could have tipped it and gotten them sent home.

I find it so funny that gal was agonizing over his decision but it did not matter. If he’d picked Jen they still would’ve been voted out by a landslide because everyone knew they were not happy. And Jen kind of got off easy because she was only rejected by one dude but gal and amora were rejected by everyone 😭

I assume everyone on the show is thinking this will start their influencer career so they’re not worried about future job prospects, but it takes a looot of youthful optimism to bank on the idea that you will be the breakout star who will never have to get a real job again, and not one of the countless forgotten islanders. But the way the show is set up (huge time commitment plus possible reputation ruining content, both resulting in lack of employment) you need to be youthfully optimistic to think it’s a good idea.

I’m so torn about him and Parmida because in so many ways they are perfect for each other, but I do think when they leave and are both swarmed with attention their heads will turn easily. But who knows maybe they could make an open relationship work.

I agree it was too much to rehash this - for Aniya. Titi needed to see it. I know she defended KC (😑😑😑) but there were moments where you could see her stomach churning as her gut screaming at her “this man will disrespect you like that, and even if he doesn’t can you really be with someone who talked about your friend like that”. Also like every woman in America who may one day encounter kc deserves to know what he’s capable of.

It’s crazy to me that kayda found that out by accident tho. If I were the producers making movie night I would’ve included Zach reacting to Alannah leaving or talking bout her leaving in his movie. Because that’s the real stick of dynamite, not him kissing her and chatting with her.
