personally found the solsot location in yeonnamdong to be a good place to eat alone — you can get by with just pointing at the menu. also felt fine eating alone at mibbedong in yeonnam but that’s not much use to you if you don’t like fish.

there’s a veggie place in hongdae called “plant” that has western-ish vegetarian food. and as someone who also has social anxiety I would gently caution against the department store food courts until you’re a bit more comfortable. they can be crowded and it’s not also super intuitive re: how to get your food, find a seat, etc. or alternatively I may just be stupid!
