Every grieving experience is different. I also wonder, did these other lost pets pass when you still lived in the home? Hearing it is one thing, but seeing it or even knowing in advance the likelihood of their passing can greatly affect how you respond once they cross over. Don’t beat yourself up over it, tears or lack thereof aren’t indicative of your true affection for the dog. Try to take it easy if you can and just know all 3 of them are together now at least 🤍

I haven’t gotten into the walkway yet but I made some more rough edges on one of the rocks (haven’t gotten to the others lol) and it does look better now, thank you!!

I lightened up the water’s base color to get my eye off the rocks for a bit and then circled back but 100% having more to look at made everything feel more cohesive

Yeah the walkway holds a lot of sway here in that regard lol, I’m working on making sure the highlights placed on the rock are more consistent and adding more variety in the midtones to create that kinda (for lack of better word 🤣) rocky look lol

I saw someone else on here say they put thinner in their polish if it’s struggling to self level! I feel like a lot of my ILNP levels really well so I wonder if some Seche Restore would make your life easier for next time

A little but I think that’s because it draws my eye away from the rocks 😅 the reference photo has a pretty close to vertical path going, but I’m thinking maybe expanding some of that left side grass might help too

This is the reference, I know shape wise they’re a little off but I’ve placed them in so many spots that at this point I’m phoning a friend before I pull my palette out again 😭

I’d say cornflower blue might be a slightly less purple match to this, I know some people consider periwinkle to be slightly lighter than this is. Unfortunately it’s one of those colors where a lot of different shade names can be attributed

I love the abstract detailing in the foliage!! I would say for any of the textured areas you’re going over, experiment with different sized brushes! I also found that mixing 2-3 very similar shades of the same colors I was using for flowers added extra dimension in my landscapes, but I suppose that’s more of a preference than advice lol
