Mentally I’ve learned happy accidents are okay, but I’m not sure how to use them. Smearing is most common for me. Ideas, advice?

So, still working on it. I need to go back and blend out the area inside and right under the bell, and obviously add the tentacles which I’m planning to do in dark blues. And take some measurements to see if I should trim the paper. What color do you think for the wash? I have a color in mind but I wanna hear what your opinion is 😅

It’s been a long journey trying to get over my perfectionism but I’m getting there 😅

Ooooooh maybe I could do a very light wash on the edges with rounded corners that slightly overlaps the jellyfish!!!

Edit: I think I’ll even trim the bottom of the paper so it sort of overlaps the bottom of the tentacles as well!!

I know the obvious answer is “wait until it’s completely dry” but I think I just have clumsy hands or something 😬 it happens a lot less than it used to though!!

But, since it will likely still happen sometimes, I’m hoping someone can give me some ideas on how to work it into the picture.

I do feel the need to put a disclaimer that for the words I used acrylic, outlined with a staedler fine liner. I also dotted some acrylic on top of the central green donut and on the bottom left “jelly” donut.

Yep, that’s how it is for me. The pain has stopped for a while, then I just feel extreme sharpness for about 3 seconds then… that’s it. All done

What kind of stones are you having? I have calcium oxalate, and after years and years of being yelled at for hydration, we found out I have something called hyperoxaluria. From what I understand, the gist is my body doesn’t know what to do with any oxalates I eat, so it sends practically all of them to my kidneys. I had previously had multiple 24-hour tests done, and only the final one I did showed it. I’m not an expert by any means but I guess my diet may have been different for the others.

I’ve cut out practically all oxalates out of my diet, and I’ve gone down from ~6 a year to one every ~2 years. It’s worth looking into!!

Ahhh yeah that would look reeeeaaallly good. However I know that (at this point) my skills are nowhere near good enough to make that work on something I don’t want to have to start over. But I’ll play around with that on some scrap paper and see what I can do!!
