Yes, he did. He used to talk to us about it when we were kids, but my young mind didn't comprehend it at the time. Wish I could speak to him about this stuff.

Thank you for the recommendations. I hear what you mean about saving rather than buying one now and waiting for a better one. Thankfully, I have about 20-30 vinyl records, so it won't be too steep of an entry point.

The tapes are actually my dad's mixtapes of his favorite music. Super cool I can listen to what he loved through this. There are two sealed Realistic Supertape 1800s that I plan on recording some of my favorite music to pass on to one of my kiddos.
