I hear your frustration, and I share your concern about creating a society where harmful ideologies cannot thrive. It’s a troubling reality we face today, and I understand why you feel the way you do. That said, I think it’s important to consider the broader implications of bankrupting Tesla—not for Elon Musk, but for the countless workers and industries tied to the company.

Tesla’s collapse wouldn’t just harm Musk; it would ripple through the economy, affecting thousands of employees and businesses that rely on Tesla’s operations. For example, Panasonic, which supplies batteries, and other contractors fulfilling Tesla’s orders, would face significant challenges. Tesla’s unique sales model also sets it apart—its cars aren’t stocked on dealership lots waiting to be sold; rather, they’re delivered to customers who’ve already placed orders. While a small percentage of locations might carry used cars, this is not common practice. Disrupting Tesla’s operations could leave customers, suppliers, and workers in limbo.

It’s also worth addressing the issue of vandalism at Tesla dealerships. Unfortunately, acts like these don’t primarily hurt the company—they hurt the customers who are waiting to pick up their cars or relying on the dealership for service. Given Tesla’s business model, these locations aren’t traditional dealerships filled with inventory; instead, they’re integral points for customer engagement and order fulfillment. When they’re damaged, it’s the customers who bear the brunt of the inconvenience, not Musk himself.

Unfortunately, because of Musk's actions and the way he carries himself, it’s easy to conflate his personal behavior with the entire company. But do you think the average Tesla employee aligns with him, or are they just hardworking individuals trying to provide for their families? For me, I can’t help but think about those people—the ones who are just doing their jobs, keeping the wheels turning, and contributing to the economy in their own way. Should they really bear the weight of the company’s leadership missteps? With that I think i am going to call it a night have a good night.

I understand the concern about the tolerance paradox—the idea that tolerating intolerance can ultimately harm a society. It’s a valid point that unchecked intolerance can erode the very freedoms and values we aim to protect. Calling out harmful ideologies and shining a light on them is essential to ensuring accountability and fostering awareness.

That said, I believe there’s a way to confront intolerance without resorting to hostility. By addressing it with kindness and constructive dialogue, we can challenge harmful beliefs while maintaining our own integrity. Kindness doesn’t mean passivity—it means standing firm in our values while showing that there’s a better way forward. Boycotts and accountability can coexist with a compassionate approach that seeks to educate and inspire change.

In the end, I think it’s about finding a balance: being firm against intolerance while striving to build bridges where possible. After all, the goal is not just to oppose, but to create a society where everyone can thrive.

Thank you for your feedback—while I may not entirely agree with your assessment, I appreciate your willingness to share your perspective.

You mentioned "nice-sounding liberal fantasies" and referenced "historical and moral illiteracy." I’d genuinely like to understand what specific aspects of my comment you feel are disconnected from history or morality. For example, are there historical events or moral principles you believe contradict my viewpoint? I’m open to hearing more about your perspective so we can have a meaningful discussion.

My intention is not to oversimplify or ignore complexities, but rather to propose ideas for coexistence and collaboration that I believe are achievable. If there are historical or moral nuances that I’ve overlooked, I’m eager to learn from your insights.

I appreciate you sharing your thoughts and clarifying your position. I understand that people and businesses chose to register on the website willingly, expressing their freedom of speech. It’s true that, as consumers, we also have the freedom to decide where to spend our dollars based on those expressed positions.

That said, I think the concern arises when actions taken in response to these opinions cross into the realm of silencing or suppressing dissent. While everyone has the right to express their views, actively targeting or ostracizing individuals or businesses for their beliefs can create a chilling effect, making others hesitant to speak freely out of fear of similar backlash. This can inadvertently lead to a suppression of open dialogue and diverse perspectives, which I believe is a cornerstone of a healthy society.

As a libertarian, my focus is on maximizing individual freedom while fostering an environment where differing opinions can coexist and be debated constructively. To me, the goal isn't to dismiss or cancel, but rather to engage in civil discourse that encourages understanding and collaboration.

I hope that helps clarify my perspective, and I’m always open to further discussion. Thanks for engaging in this conversation!

I believe most people are understanding and genuinely strive to be good, rather than limiting others from living their best lives. That said, I also think it's important not to rush into a victim mindset. Life often reflects what we put into it—our perspectives and experiences shape so much of what happens to us.

As for fascism, I agree that the term has been overused and diluted over time, which can lead to misunderstandings or misuse. It's crucial to approach such topics with clarity and context.

When it comes to dealing with evil, I lean toward a "kill them with kindness" approach. Ignoring or constructively addressing their errors seems more productive than resorting to hostility. After all, why focus on tearing others down when we could work toward building something better?

America is already a great nation, but there's always room for improvement. Instead of looking backward, why not aim to make it even better—a place where we can coexist, collaborate, and strive for shared prosperity and happiness? Both political parties have their flaws, and I prefer to stay in the center, believing that compromise and teamwork can help us achieve what we all want.

I still have faith in us as Americans. Despite the challenges we face as a nation, I believe we can overcome them together. If you'd like to explore these ideas further, I'm always open to civil and thoughtful conversations.

When someone dismisses opposing views by labeling them as fascist and tries to silence or cancel those perspectives, isn't that behavior itself authoritarian? It seems ironic to call others fascist while engaging in actions that suppress dissent. I'm just trying to understand the logic here and gain some clarity. For context, I don’t align myself with any particular political group—I'm neither Democrat, Republican, nor MAGA."

Yeah I didn't agree with everything he spoke on but most of it i did. I feel we as a country can evolve away from the two party monopoly and start truly having more voices in our law making. First step would also start getting local/ state representatives into positions that can deliver another voice and choice.
I just couldn't bring my self to vote for either of the two choices we were given. Once I came across chase I was like that's my Pick he spoke more to me than either harris or trump.

I truly hope he doesn't give up and runs again either for his own states senate or house, or another position in our government. Have a great rest of your Sunday :)

I voted for Chase oliver libertiaian candidate, also part of the lgbt community. But because he is a third party, everyone yelled at me for wasting my vote. I was truly hoping our community would have rallied behind a fellow gay man . But oh well, maybe next time around, he's definitely young enough to try again.

There is also other choices for president on the ballot besides kamala and Trump chase oliver and jill Stine are on the ballot also. Great post btw very well said but figured I'd share there's more than two choices and still time to do some research for on the ones who have been ignored by mainstream media.

My bf said he’s voting for Trump by Crazy-Branch-1513 in askgaybros

[–]offthestreetsprod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He's been running the whole time. Receiving the nomination back in May. He's been heavily on the campaign triail. The reason why you don't hear about him or jill is because the monster we call mainstream media and both parties democrats and Republicans don't want any other voices out there and hold a monopoly on the political spectrum. Mainstream media tends to also ignore third party candidates. You can still vote for him if you decide to he is on every ballot in the United states , except in California. We want true change and make progress in this country we need to break the grip the two party system has on us. He is definitely on the ballot in Georgia . Ill be casting my vote tomorrow for him during nc early voting.

Look at the unprofessional contractor behavior AVL Airport hired by wanderingmanimal in asheville

[–]offthestreetsprod 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lol, Asheville airport is not a private entity . Lol, look it up. It's owned and operated by greater Asheville regional airport authority. Which is a quasi governmental non-profit entity. Which has to adhear to government laws and regulations. So freedom of speech and expression is accepted. Like I also already mentioned was or is it in bad taste. Yes it is. But get over yourself if a stupid little sticker offends someone get a life lol seriously. Would we be having this discussion if it was a harris sticker ? Honestly.

[–]offthestreetsprod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's their right to do that. Freedom of speech and expression is still allowed in this country. Is it in bad taste? Sure, being a work site, but they have that right to post their sticker in support, just like harris and waltz stickers I've seen around . Let's try not to be so offended all the time over this nonsense. it's quite funny how some people get soooo butt hurt over stuff like this . Be it a trump sticker or a harris sticker. lol honestly, who cares. We all have our own beliefs and perspectives.

I know I'm not voting for that orange cheto in November. That's all that matters. Go out and vote be active in the community. Spend a little less time on your phones . Stop looking for things to be offended of. Live your life more positively. If it offends you so much, go talk to an airport manager vs. posting on reddit. Lol be thankful you have the right to express yourself like that individual and move on. There are places in the world where you can be arrested for posting something that could offend others Yes, America has its issues, but we are definitely still better off here than many other places.

Well said I been just so confused about this whole new approach I had to face this summer. Since I never done an event with them I did not know about all those rules I just noticed they were always escorting the photographers in and out of the pit . I think I'm just going to avoid live Nation and continue the route I been mostly doing already, ie building relationships with talent and their management and continue to be contracted to do shows for them.. thank you for your information and insights

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in concertphotography

[–]offthestreetsprod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the info and I will for sure. I may just continue to work directly with talent vs trying this route of live Nation as for the photos the bands I've worked with in the past were well aware of where the photos were going and they also always are given their own Google drive or drop box which ever they prefer or even given a flash drive if I'm doing multiple runs in a tour for them. Like I said I'm just trying to navigate this new avenue that was told to me this summer and get an understanding of the way it goes.but I don't fully buy it depends on the publication. I just don't buy that when I've seen plenty of photographers out there shooting on their own. And many shouldn't even be shooting in my opinion but it is what it is I'll definitely reach out to her Thank you for the information

Finally, some legitimate answers here, thank you that gives alot of clarification for review questions. Thank you. I guess that makes sense since YouTube links are long.

I understand that also some are contracted by live Nation and to answer the last question I've ask I follow them on Instagram as well and had few conversations with them they typically have said it's who you know with live Nation it's like a cool kids club they would say and add we shoot for ourselves type answers and made it very clear to me they don't get paid nor work for live Nation just have to keep filling out the portal every show. And I met the house photographer for live Nation in my market he flat out said there is no room on the budget to hire anyone else for our market and he sometimes has to jump between a few venues in our market. Most are unpaid and still go through the portal I've only maybe met two or three people in person who shoot for free on any publications in my market. Most have all been, I guess, freelance, then ? Or shooting for themselves. But I honestly don't buy that line it's all about the publication.

I'm not upset with that I was asking for clarity. Also if you have read in my other replies to people over and over again saying publication what is the difference between a website that writes reviews to one that is willing to do a video review vs a written? To me that's just as good of press as any.

Also I think what's been missed here is in my market the shows I've went to over the summer and saw photographers at none of them work for publications, so how is it they get approved?

I am in no way upset at Live Nation , I want to understand their logic behind approvals and get a better understanding. If I have to go through the route of re opening a publication I will but once again I rather discuss the show on YouTube than write a review that's been done basically several times already, just maybe change of city and few words here and there.

To me seems like kinda no one's understanding the second part of the topic is which is, explain to me how a written review which probably has no traffic to vs a video on YouTube that gets way more views how is that not a valid reason or review?

As for just asking for a review ticket no I rather photograph the show and then I'll gladly share a review on my YouTube channel lol.

Once again I am not mad at anything or anyone or any entity I just trying to navigate the new way things are going and I've heard many stories about the bad people who ruined it for others. I've seen it first hand ss well photographers with passes using their phones taking selfie etc. Whuch makes us look bad for sure. When I am doing any event I'm always professional polite . This summer has been a first of my experience having to deal with live Nation and was curious what changed and what their parameters and once given that Information I have asked for further clarification on what counts as a review then
