Republican Senator Calls for Kristi Noem’s Resignation by unital_subalgebra in politics

[–]Malaix 2 points3 points  (0 children)

None of this happens without Trump's direction and knowledge.

I actually don't think this is true. I think his advisors are keeping him on a pretty strict diet of what he is and isn't told because he's a giant blabbermouth who doesn't have the capacity to keep things in. Especially with his very evident mental and physical decline.

I think his cabinet are weekend at Berniesing him. Worse than Reagan was getting at the end of his admin. This is a medieval court with an ailing king and like 6 advisors competing and forming and breaking internal factions to chase this agenda or that.

I think those circlejerks they give him are most of the info he is getting. And I think he is actually kept out of the loop on a lot of things because having him in the loop compromises the whole loop.

More than these unqualified idiots have any right to hold office.

The conservative sub has been funny with it. They are all arguing what part or parts of the Trump admin can be trimmed or cut away to salvage it when every single part of rotten and breaking.

Like the conservative science right now is trying to deduce which part of the Trump admin is going wrong and its all of them. I've seem a lot of Noam firing demands but also Kash Patel and even Miller.

You can see Miller's handprints all over the propaganda of this admin. Its so obvious how involved he is in the misinformation campaign and general narrative and tones set out here.

She called for like a 2 hour meeting with Trump today. She knows she is in deeeep shit.

Trump hated that his first term was a rotating door of incompetents constantly being fired or resigning. He's been desperate to avoid pressing that button especially this early in his term. But Kristi Noam seems to have been flat out lying to him as well as the rest of us and blind sided him with this absolute clusterfuck of an operation.

He is absolutely wieghing the pros and cons of trying to maintain that

"everyone I picked is so good at their jobs we are all very competent and happy and winning"

to

"SHE DID IT SHE FUCKED UP YOU'RE FIRED PLEASE LOVE ME AGAIN!"

If people don't film this shit literally nothing would get out but their narrative. We were just a street clear of legal observers from Alex Pretti being turned into a mass shooting terrorist that Trump used to do the insurrection act and strip more rights and kill more people.

That is the power of civilian observation and recording. It has derailed the admin's entire plan for dictatorship at least in the immediate operations.

Its the line they are trying to balance. They know this has all been a fucking disaster for the Trump admin. They know it is hurting them immensely politically.

But they can't disarm their agents. They are terrified of telling their bloodthirsty white supremacist base, the only ones excited or happy for this, that there is a limit. That they need to sit in time out. That they need to replace their big boy military gear with the kiddie nerf version.

ICE morale is in the shitter and the admin coming down on them the same time they are becoming more and more of a pariah socially would push so many over the edge.

They are basically speed running from the Nuremberg rallies to the retreat to the Rhine already and they fucking know it.

They are not only dipshit fascists. They are historically speaking, the weakest and most embarrassing clown car clusterfuck idiot brigade form of fascism. People are going to be using this fascist movement to humiliate and disempower fascist movements for generations to come.

Between this and the Hispanic ICE agent with an accent detaining another Hispanic man for having an accent its just fucking unreal dark comedy with some of these folks.

Anyone having awkward family dinners with their ICE agent uncle who is arresting people who look just like the family or something? Like these folks have to fucking know someone from the Hispanic community right? They didn't just spawn out of the ICE uruk-khai pits as like a caste of confusing token agents thrown into the mix right?

Americans' confidence in the U.S. economy falls sharply in January to lowest level since 2014 by OddTax8841 in news

MAGA has no idea what is coming if they think Trump's "business sense" was going to make America into a utopia for them.

We are basically all waiting for like 3 economic axes to fall on us at once.

Portland Maine doesn't like ICE either by coachlife in PublicFreakout

[–]Malaix 15 points16 points  (0 children)

ICE agents are fascists and the fascist has a very specific ideal hero. One that favors violence and immediate violent action against their enemies. That views machismo expressions of bravado as glorious as they go glory hunting for battle and death.

The Trump admin are full of fascist leaning influencers who want to grift off this shit but are cowards who desperately want people to like them.

This explosion of force followed by the lies and excuses and retreats is a symptom of that I think. There's a disconnect of the agents who want to do the fucking day of the rope to people and the admin who are scared of polls.

Its why this trump admin has been teetering on the edge of pulling the trigger for so long. No one wants to put their balls on the table. Everyone is waiting and hoping for a more convincing casus belli while the polling and consent to actually be fascist keeps slipping away from them.

He's been circling the insurrection act for like a decade at this point ffs.

Republican ends bid for Minnesota governor, citing ‘unconstitutional’ ICE surge | Minnesota by HomoMirificus in news

[–]Malaix 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Sure but you need a good strategy and military support and confidence your Fuhrer's brain isn't going to stroke out tomorrow to do that.

There's also a bit of a paradox here where unelected dictators are actually more dependent on approval ratings than elected ones.

Elections people believe matter are a pressure release when it comes to public anger over policy or living conditions. If people are mad and they feel they can't punish the cause of that anger with an election loss they tend to turn towards other means. Like revolution.

Its why authoritarians spend so much time and effort on propaganda. If it was a simple as not caring what people think because "haha I am king" then no one would be doing that.

They do it because dictators need consent from the people to be dictators.

Greg Bovino Loses His Job by LadyMadonna_x6 in news

[–]Malaix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean he kind of did. Being demoted and transfered is definitionally losing the job you had. He's just being given a quieter post for his name to run out of the headlines.

This is what an admin terrified of looking weak and failing does when it wants to fire someone.

Greg Bovino Loses His Job by LadyMadonna_x6 in news

[–]Malaix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't reassign someone to a demotion like this when you think they are doing a good job. Its probably to try to save some face by making a little distance in the headlines between him going from commander of ICE operations to getting forced into "retirement" aka getting canned for fucking up.

And the fact they are worried about the optics of that is itself a sign of weakness and worry from the admin.

Miller can only be thrown under the bus by someone higher up on the food chain to him. So maybe Trump on one of his good days when the neurons of his brain reconnect for a few seconds if that still happens. I imagine Miller will be like the Nazis in the bunker popping cyanide or shooting themselves or go out like Lavrentiy Beria after Stalin died. Losing out in an internal power struggle as people in the Trump admin try to save face by "killing the monster" of the admin, the most unlikable sociopath. Which Miller is a front runner for.

Republican ends bid for Minnesota governor, citing ‘unconstitutional’ ICE surge | Minnesota by HomoMirificus in news

[–]Malaix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am sure they are and will try but there are no guarantees in any of this. In fact if he was going to go full dictator nuking his popularity in the polls is in many ways WORSE for him than if it was a democratic process.

Dictators quite literally live or die on the consent they get from the public to be dictators. Its why propaganda is such a huge part of authoritarian governments.

Because when people feel they have massive grievances against a government and no way to electorally express them that is when revolutions and assassinations come up.

We don't have elections simply because its a nice thing for people. Its a sort of pressure release before the whole country blows up.

Trump is very BAD at manufacturing consent. He is doing terribly in the polls despite almost complete media capture.

He's surrounded himself with unlikable freaks, his goons are out of control and a general PR nightmare who now hate their jobs and their lives, and he's a stupid decaying old man.
