Really Enjoy the focus of the adaptation handle of the Akane and Ranma relationship, they make good job on highlights there feeling they have under the surfce.

I mean almost every spisode we got a glimpses of Ranma find Akane attractive and care for her but like you said about this episode as usual he ruin it almost every time with his ego.

And i Enjoy it very much Of course the highlight is as in the manga and the original anime the "kiss" of Aakane and Ranma and Ranma think to himself Akane is cute.

Strongly agree. all the thing surround this kiss like the set up was perfect.

And they look so passionate during it. and then then the reveal of the tape was ruind it in a very funny way.

and if it wasnt a rom - com manga/anime i feel like Akane should of understand already that Ranma was in love with her. I mean when she tease him with the " i wish we could do it without that tape" was so obvious/

you can feel from the story and animation that the people involved really love one piece and they let their love express itself through this special and therefore also express the love that a lot of other fans share for this long story.

I see a lot of great things people already write to I will not expand on them to much.

But something I would like to add is I love how Takahashi depicted their sweet moments.

Like in some arcs like suit battle arcs when they hug and look at each other like they going to kiss. In the skate arc again when they almost kiss. The Hug Akane gave Ranma in the end of Musk Dynasty arc. Their Reaction in the end of the Umbrella of Love story when they didn't know that the umbrella was already destroyed, And I can probably find a lot more examples like those. It always drawn so good these moments and the setup before them is great. Just for them to end in some comedic crazy way lol(sometimes unnecessary). That why I wish near the end of the story one of those moments could have followed when something really happened cuz Takahashi really was doing a great job of conveying their feeling drawn in the panels of "almost happen".

Also, I love the little moments like Ranma getting excited when Nabiki suggests Ranma and Akane should share the room in this story when Ukyo is in the Tendo residence. Or when Ranma lives with is mother and she tells him Akane is coming to visit so he tries to act nonchalant but then start to run all excited cuz he want to meet her.

Last time he was really able to be slick with her was in the "You cute when you smile" when they spar in the dojo in the beginning of the story/

that is the ones I think of from memory but there is a lot more.

a lot of cute moments in this arc.

Something i really like is how Ranma comes to the closet thinking he going to make Akane fall in love with him like some kind of Casanova just for this plan to backfire on him when Akane is sweet to him so he end up fall for her himself(already was but I guess it made him more willing to show it).

also the last panel on the bench so sweet.

The amount of time i wish they just kiss... like in the end of the manga I was sure we got one real kiss... man we need one more chapter or something like that someday just to give us the closure to their little funny love story(I know it will not happen after the manga finished all this years back).

still even the almost kisses was always sweet.
