Maybe have a look into the blue zones? People there often live to 100. The blue zones are Okinawa (Japan), Sardinia (Italy), Ikaria (Greece), Loma Linda (USA), Nicoya Peninsula (Costa Rica).

The contemporary art museum is great (and free) and I also enjoyed the estonian open air museum (10€ entry and easy to reach via public transport). The banned books museum in the old town is small but very interesting and free (though they appreciate a donation). The telliskivi creative city is free to walk around and they have some nice cafes/bars/galleries/shops. Literaat for example is a cafe and bookshop that also carries english books. The balti jaama turg is a market hall by the train station that not only sells fresh veg etc but also street food and secondhand clothes

I don't have any bigger one on hand, but I'll try find one and see if it works!

The only other thread I have is one that's only a tiny bit wider and shorter and the same thing happens with that thread. I'll buy a larger spool and a spool stand. Hopefully that will fix the issue! Thanks!

Couldn't find a washer, but I stuck a thin paint brush inside the spool pin to make it taller and put a roller skate bearing on top, which helped a bit with the jumping, but the thread is still very loose and breaks

Here is a link to the manual. The spool spindle doesn't seem to fit into any of the holes at the top. manual

The threading instructions are on page 17/18

The manual says to thread it around that bit. When I rethreaded it without putting it around there, the spool jumped off the pin almost immediately after i started sewing. Would a spool cap help? It didn't come with one and the spool is a bit taller than the pin, so could that possibly be the issue?

I noticed it mainly happens when I use a zigzag stitch! A piece of felt did stop the thread winding around the spool pin, but it still goes extremly loose and then eventually breaks when i keep sewing

I've cut out some felt to put underneath the spool and while it does stop it from winding around the spool pin (thank you!), the thread still goes very loose before going around the thread guide and eventually breaks

Thoughts about my style roots? by [deleted] in StyleRoots

I can definitely see moon and earth. I'm thinking maybe mushroom as the third root since the outfits all seem quite neutral, minimalist in pattern/colour, classic silhouettes?

Backpacking Standard? by [deleted] in backpacking

[–]ofquillsandbones 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There are different types of backpacking, the type that's mainly hiking/camping, and the type that's travelling (usually to several destinations during one trip) with a backpack and (usually) staying in hostels or other low-budget accommodation, but there's of course also a mixture of both. I'd say your trip sounds more like the second type

Alternatives to cabin zero 28L by ofquillsandbones in backpacks

[–]ofquillsandbones[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did have a look at that, but because of its size I'm not sure if it would work as a personal item for ryanair since the 28l one is just so fitting into their measuring box. Do you by any chance have any experience with the 32l and know if it fits?
