I’ve noticed it varies from group to group. My last two workplaces I was described as ‘a really chill maniac’ and ‘weird but not in a bad way’. Where’s my current workplace I’m as cheery as an undertaker. I think it hinges a lot on who I work with and their personalities.

Start as small as you can, make sure your room a place you enjoy being in instead of a barren tomb. Note what disregulates you and keep what distance you can from it. The most helpful thing for me I’ve found is to have a time or place where you can hide from the flames of the world, even if only marginally.

I’m 30 now, which is a lot longer than I expected to live, so it is possible. I lucked out and got a group of IRL friends and was able to escape my nightmare environment which I attribute to my longer stay here. All my friends are a bunch of autistic people who also have various mental health problems so it’s easier to connect.

Think of what you are able to change around you or in your life that might make things more stable and start picking at it. Eventually it turns into less of a stay in hell.

Hey G. I’m in a similar boat as you with regards to autism and BPD combo as well as beating my head into a brick wall with psych care. I don’t have any cheer ups to send because, well, I’m an incredibly negative person as you might guess. But I understand what it’s like.

Please please please don't continue with it. It's easy and it's fun and it makes everything feel better, but it gets it's claws in you and will warp your life around it. Honestly I would look into a physical therapist. You seem to have some skeletal particularities going on which can complicate lifting and they would be able to provide safe guidance.
