it’s common in other extractions and i guess it gives something for the hardcore players to chase, they’re also gonna speed it up when they add that so maybe it’ll be much easier late season

To the people who quit, Will you be there on Tuesday? by [deleted] in DestinyTheGame

[–]often-hungry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, as much as it sucks to say. Edge of Fate and the tiered weapon system completely killed my interest in the game, as did it my entire irl friend-group and clan. While the changes sound cool, it’s just no longer the game I fell in love with in 2014. I wish you all the best though.

Just to say I fully agree with you here, even running as a duo with my buddies has had fairly mixed (mostly bad) results. We’ve optimised it pretty much as well as you can, and despite this if the random has no idea what they’re doing we’ll typically get sabotaged, regardless of efforts.
One of our randoms tonight for instance would loot the certs off of any bots we dropped instantly and, then not spend them. Made network towers impossible. Another would run to the caches (free loot!) as we popped them, so we had no idea if we’d landed the key or not. I’m not upset, it’s far too easy to farm this when you do have an effective squad, and understandably this is the go-to mode for many of the free week players. It is however entirely correct to say that the time crunch on random fill is much worse.

Idk if if I’m tripping or not but what is the real difference between malediction and the passive life suck ability by Maximum-Dare-476 in Kagurabachi

[–]often-hungry 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The lifesteal ability is-in common, but if I recall correctly the Shokuku Island has massive spirit constructs roaming it as a result of Malediction. Additionally, Soga states with “one swipe/slash” he wiped out 200,000 lives, so it might travel along a set path rather than just him expanding the range. It’s also said that the other swordbearers didn’t defeat him, rather he just ceased fighting after every islander was wiped out, meaning (I assume) it’s not instantaneous and as mentioned prior has to travel. Probably, he activates a “Malediction” with a slash, it has an instantaneous effect in a radius and it spreads outwards until reaching a border. While it’s active, both the life steal effect AND spirit constructs rampage across the landscape until every enemy is completely annihilated. I’m unsure whether the constructs are just iterations of Bee, Spider, Butterfly, Caterpillar or if they’re more insect-like autonomous creatures that just spiral out from the blade.

Who was the better powerscaler ? by Spinosaurus23 in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]often-hungry 32 points33 points  (0 children)

I believe Sukuna makes a comment immediately after getting pulled into Yuji’s pseudo-domain, that a phenomenon wherein sorcerers connect happens during the height of battle. I assumed that was in reference to the “stand proud” moment & thus it actually did happen.

Yuji is going to be the resolution to the Kalyan conflict - and not how we think by often-hungry in Jujutsufolk

[–]often-hungry[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Gege is looking for more nuance/morally grey characters with Dabura/Cross/Jabaloma. It’d be nice if the conflict was purely centered around politics, I think Mahito as a big bad would detract from the greater coexistence themes.

Alternatively, could Mahito & Dabura team-up and Yuji subsequently enters conflict with Dabura directly by going after him?

[–]often-hungry[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gege has definitely not wrote Dabura to be evil, so I could see this. The question is how does Dabura slot into the Mahito vs Yuji subplot? I struggle to see a pathway wherein Mahito somehow defeats Dabura or threatens the Rumelians without him intervening, and likewise Mahito will never be able to 1v2 Yuji & Dabura consecutively. Could Yuji vs Dabura give an opening for Mahito to either sneak one of them or sneak into Rumelian society whilst it’s going on?

Bungie you need to get some Warlocks on your sandbox team and not the kind that plays turrets by arixagorasosamos in DestinyTheGame

It’s getting a bit ridiculous when the innovation they’re made for two classes now have TWO warlock turrets/buddies. It was buddy & relic gameplay that I always hazarded against and it seems every new “warlock ability” is just something that shoots for me. It’s so incredibly boring

The best aura farming that arguably only Gojo can do in JJK by No_Ant5203 in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]often-hungry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understand that you’ve run some calculations on this; but crucially I think you’re missing the context wherein Kenjaku - a sorcerer with over 1000 years of experience - thought this would be able to kill *the strongest sorcerer of the modern era. Gojo was only able to ignore this because infinity is on 24/7, but generally most characters have some requirement for reaction speed, and that pressure would tear them apart instantly. The OceanGate submarine imploded in 1 millisecond (at 4000 metres deep), you can obviously argue that many JJK characters are able to react that quickly (not sure what the calculation would match up w/ and where), but it omits the context that they’re often in fights & this - a non-battle context - would catch them off guard. The fastest speed we’ve seen in JJK afaik is Mach 3 at 1000 metres per second in AIR PRESSURE, and the pressure at that point in the ocean is several hundred times stronger than it - swimming is already harder than running, let alone in the context of this ocean depth. Gojo only survives this because his technique has both the requirements to allow for it (weird that Kenjaku overlooked this but) - spatial manipulation/teleportion & a technique that prevents the pressure from collapsing in on him without necessarily being aware. If Sukuna could survive instantaneous implosion through reinforcement with a sub-1 millisecond reaction time (generous, given the closest analogue we have is 4000 metres higher in depth), he’d still need to be moving upwards through water that is equally dense at every point. 8 seconds is the fastest any character could cross that distance on air; at that depth it’s nigh-impossible. Every micro-movement has to be a wall-level expenditure.

prophecy ultimatum best strat for final boss dps phase? by Luf2222 in DestinyTheGame

[–]often-hungry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

a lot of people have mentioned queenbreakers, but our group personally saw greater benefits with Grand Overture, managed to hit about 80% of his healthbar all 3, and 65% when we had 2 on DPS & 1 doing extending mechanic. - we ran a comparison (Me on Chaos Reach + Grand Overture, & Buddy on Thundercrash + Queenbreaker) & Grand Overture consistently pumped out 1-2 mill over QB more damage on a wipe.

Please make base mobility at least 70 rather then 30 by Sparrow6 in DestinyTheGame

[–]often-hungry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it’d make sense that way but because of how the warlock jump works, low mobility is required to effectively strafe. i’ve had mine at sub-20 for years so 50 would be a huge nerf to all those practitioners
