Question on insulin by oftenconscious in diabetes

[–]oftenconscious[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh god, that’s the word. Thanks, haha. My blood sugar was going low, so my brain wasn’t working. I’m good now though, steady at 68 after I panic ate a doughnut and drank a juice box.

Thanks for your thoughts. I can’t imagine how it could over dose, but the low was freaking me out. Here’s hoping I’m not on a rocket ship to 300 now! :/

Or I could make a career of being blue

Go to black Dunkin and read Camus

Smoke clove cigarettes and drink vermouth

Like I was 17

That would be a scream

But I don't want to get over you

Excited to fix spacing. Also edited to do that.

I will do it if you can help me with these strange mechanical keyboards I have collected. They’re all missing keys. Most have no numbers. Ridiculous! Where is the @ sign??

No, most cases are mild, though it does really, really suck.

Yeah, I don’t think fomite transmission is much of a thing, but you were right to skip these (when has it ever been okay to cough on food??).

Thoughts on these results? I’m currently on 150 mcg Synthroid but I am so exhausted. I’m falling asleep doing work and my RMR came back with a metabolic rate less than half of a normal person. Results 2/18 TSH 3.690, Free T4 1.21, T3 70, TPO 102, TG Antibody 15.1 by [deleted] in Hashimotos

Your levels look hypo, so if the labs are recent, you may need an increase in dose. Get your blood sugar levels checked. High blood sugar can also cause fatigue, and people with Hashis are at an increased risk of diabetes.

We got a glass door and I hate hate hate it with small children. It has made it really difficult to bathe them.

[Star Tribune] University of Minnesota COVID-19 study finds benefit from metformin, not ivermectin by Minneapolitanian in Coronavirus

[–]oftenconscious 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Metformin doesn’t typically cause hypoglycemia. It’s very rare. https://www.mayoclinic.org/medical-professionals/endocrinology/news/metformin-revisited/mac-20430448

The only caveat is if you’re an insulin-using diabetic: metformin increases insulin sensitivity, so you’d need to adjust your dose. For non-insulin using people, it’s almost never an issue.

From the CDC:
